I built Cherub to solve my own problem. I kept starting Bible reading plans and quitting, not because I didn't want to engage, but because nothing was sticking. I'd finish a chapter and realize I'd retained almost nothing. It was crazy to me that we are reading this book that's thousands of years old in the same way amidst our modern technology. So, I spent a few months building a reading companion that uses cognitive science; bimodal reading (audio + text simultaneously), historical context before each chapter, and spaced quiz questions after.
