What should a recovery score actually account for? Tell me where most apps get it wrong

by

We launched Cadence today and the whole product hangs on one design decision: the daily recovery score. Right now it weighs sleep, perceived fatigue, soreness and life stress, and the plan responds by telling you to push, hold or back off.

The open question is what else deserves a place in the score without turning the daily check in into a chore. Resting heart rate from wearables? Bar speed? Appetite? Mood?

If you lift, or you have used Whoop, Garmin or MacroFactor style tools: what did their recovery or readiness numbers get wrong for you? Where did you stop trusting them?

Honest answers shape what we build next. Critical ones are the most useful.
