Really neat UI :) Seriously considering using this in production. That being said, is it reliably stable for production use?

First, I have to say I'm a big fan of . But they removed the free plan, which I think can be a deal breaker for some developers / entrepreneurs. Buddy offers a free plan AND an On-Premises edition, which I also believe can be interested for some of us. how long have you been working on Buddy? What were the main challenges to over come and how do you see the product evolving in the future?

It’s not easy to talk about other companies as everyone is trying to do their best. I can tell we strive to deliver the fastest and most reliable solution on the market that can easily be added to any existing dev setup. We've been working on Buddy for a year now in a team of 20, delivering new features almost every week. We're currently focusing on new pipeline actions and better integration with GitHub, Bitbucket and the recently added GitLab. Our aim is to create a tool that will allow people to automate their development process as much as possible and respond to the actual needs of the web development community.
I literally JUST realized this afternoon that the free version of DeployBot was no longer. This is great timing, and seems like a great service, def. will be checking it out!

Hi Ilmi! Yes, we do support EC2. Here's a step-by-step guide how to install Buddy on AWS:

Being a SysAdmin, I was a little apprehensive to delve into CI products. Thankfully Buddy made it really easy to hook up the PaaS environment and GitHub repo, and that was basically it! It's great to get instant builds when the team pushes new code to the web app, and I get way more visibility into and build issues than I thought I would. Thanks Buddy!

Thanks Jesús! Yes, we have a dedicated deployment action for that: look for the GCE icon when configuring your pipeline. Note that if you're using the on-premises version you need to integrate with Google first, here's an article how to do that:
GCE is Google Compute Engine, and I mean Google Cloud Functions. Are we talking about the same thing?

Since discovering Buddy, I have completely moved away from tinkering with my own GitLab Runners, and automated deployment through SFTP with Beanstalk (cumbersome!). The single most valued feature for me is the Atomic Deployment recipe, being able to add this modern approach to deployment, for my WordPress clients, is by far paying itself back! But that is just one of the many use cases!
Nice UI, Easy to start. Lots of preloaded containers and ability to customization. Many integrations that run out of the box and it is exciting. Not speed optimized in some cases. E.g. file sync can take up to 15 seconds on small file because of it runs separate container and some magic behind the scene. I think it should be a prerun container that works with this kind of task 10x time faster.
