Ten minutes after reading an AI answer, could you explain it back?

I read an AI answer, nod along, and move on. Ten minutes later, if someone asked me to explain it, I couldn't.

For a while I told myself that was fine. The problem got solved, which is what I came for. But some answers I actually wanted to keep, and for those, nodding along wasn't enough.

So I built something into bubbling. Once you've read the answer, you tap a button and it folds away, leaving an empty box. You write down what you understood, in your own words. Closed-book review, basically.

It's harder than it sounds. But the places where I got stuck turned out to be exactly the parts I'd skipped over the ones I was sure I'd understood while reading.

I realized I'd stopped thinking when using AI. So I built this.

I'm a solo maker. I built Bubbling because of a habit I noticed in myself.

Every time I asked ChatGPT or Claude something, I'd fire off the question and jump straight to reading the answer without ever pausing to form my own thought first. Even for things I could easily have worked out on my own. At some point I realized I'd quietly started letting AI think for me. I didn't actually want to stop using AI. I just wanted to stop handing my thinking to it by default.

bubbling - Save AI answers to Notion — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok

bubbling adds a tag button under every AI answer. Tag it once and it files itself into your Notion — every tag becomes a topic, your question and the answer together. There's a memo button too. Tap it and the answer folds away, leaving a space to write it in your own words. Stuck? bubbling asks you questions about the answer you just read. AI review then compares your memo with the answer and shows what you got and what you missed. Open the side panel on any website to read it again.
