Ten minutes after reading an AI answer, could you explain it back?

I read an AI answer, nod along, and move on. Ten minutes later, if someone asked me to explain it, I couldn't.

For a while I told myself that was fine. The problem got solved, which is what I came for. But some answers I actually wanted to keep, and for those, nodding along wasn't enough.

So I built something into bubbling. Once you've read the answer, you tap a button and it folds away, leaving an empty box. You write down what you understood, in your own words. Closed-book review, basically.

It's harder than it sounds. But the places where I got stuck turned out to be exactly the parts I'd skipped over — the ones I was sure I'd understood while reading.

So I added two more things:

• Get questions — when you're staring at the empty box with no idea where to start, it generates questions from the answer you just read. Working through them fills the memo in.

• AI review — when you're done, it compares your memo against the original answer and shows what you got and what you missed.

How do you handle this? Do you go back and check on answers you've already read, or is it better to just re-ask when you need one again?
