@jeremy_alexander1Β You're welcome

TJ Andrews

Excited to convert my web app to native mobile!

Jeremy Alexander

@tj_andrews1Β Thanks TJ!

Manu Goel

Looks great! Are any of the usual integration hooks e.g. for payments, sign-in etc built in too?

Nick Carroll

@manu_goel2Β great question! We have a handful of built in native integrations like camera, photo library, location, and push notifications. In app purchases is coming soon, as well as other integrations like Face ID and deep linking for push notifications, oauth, and magic login links

This is awesome. I love Bubble. I've used their low-code product for an app I built back in the pre-historic times (aka before AI). I've almost moved to another low-code platform that was mobile native, but glad I didn't. :-D

Rutvij Bhise

@smith_at_atlasΒ Thanks Smith! Can't wait to see what you're able to build with the native mobile editor. And AI is a huge part of our roadmap - so stay tuned for updates there!

Huge milestone for the Bubble!
Bringing native mobile app development to the platform is a game-changer.

We've built dozens of apps with Bubble, and this unlocks so much more for what we can do, and what our clients can dream.

Wishing the team tons of success on this launch!

Let’s gooo!

@francisco_bojorquezΒ - thank you for the support! I'm looking forward to seeing the great apps your team at Arcus will build on Bubble Mobile!

Congrats! πŸŽ‰ This game-changer allows building scalable iOS/Android apps without code, using a unified backend and one-click deployment. Excited for the innovative apps to come! πŸš€"

Rutvij Bhise

@gin_6078Β We think it's a game-changer too! Scale and speed without sacrificing control!

Evgenii Zaitsev

Exciting update with Bubble's native mobile app development platform! What features will be available in the beta for iOS and Android?

Jeremy Alexander

@evgenii_zaitsev1Β Thank you! It really is exciting. Off the bat we have native functionality like push notifications, location services, camera and photo library, as well as new design elements that add swipe actions with trailing/leading buttons, and the coolest element, sheets!

The more you build with it, the more you will feel right at home but with awesome new powers. Can't wait to see what you build!

Rutvij Bhise

@evgenii_zaitsev1Β To add on to what Jeremy said, and referring to Nick's comment above -- the work doesn't stop now! We'll be adding new features as time goes on. Next up on. the roadmap is in app purchases, as well as other native surfaces like Face ID. Deep links coming soon too!

Evgenii Zaitsev

Wow, Bubble's native mobile app development platform sounds really good! What are the limitations, if any, in terms of mobile-specific features, such as access to device hardware or push notifications?

Jeremy Alexander

@evgenii_zaitsev1Β Hey! Even with our current beta capabilities, users have already built productivity tools, marketplaces, social apps, and more.

Current limitations include games requiring high-performance graphics, apps needing extensive offline functionality or deep device integrations, and apps that require in-app purchases.

However, we're rapidly expanding capabilities, so we have a lot of things coming soon like the new debugger, in-app purchases, mobile plugins, offline support and deep linking!

Been waiting for this for YEARS. Props to the team. Has Apple treated the approval process for Bubble-made apps any differently so far? And any learnings regarding the approval process for Bubble apps in the app store?

Nick Carroll

@aaron_cohnΒ nope! When Apple receives the build file during submission, it looks the same as any other iOS app. As far as learnings for the approval process, the main recommendation is to start this process early as it can be hard to tell what feedback Apple will come back with after they approve your app. Their feedback is generally pretty helpful in terms of next steps.

Rutvij Bhise

@aaron_cohnΒ Thanks Aaron! Agree with what Nick said. Apple is pretty stringent with their requirements (and they can be...they're Apple). We haven't heard that they treat Bubble apps any differently than others submitted -- we've heard the approval process is equally rigorous. So, our key learning is: start early!

With how mobile-centric our world is today, this new feature is going to be huge for entrepreneurs, no-code enthusiasts, and even non-technical people looking to try their hand at making mobile apps.

Can't wait to see what the community creates using this new tool!
