Brief By Casemargin - Read the brief, not the ticket

by
Support agents lose 10-15 minutes per escalation re-reading ticket threads before they can act. Brief reads the thread and generates a one-page case summary: assessment, what's been tried, next step. Four seconds. Works as a standalone web app, a Zendesk Marketplace sidebar app, and a Chrome extension. Output format shaped by a specialist handling 100+ tickets/day. Free to start, Pro adds shared team workspace where every brief becomes searchable history.

Solo dev here. Built Brief because I kept watching the same pattern: a ticket gets handed off or escalated, and the next agent re-reads a 40-message thread for 10-15 minutes before they can do anything useful. Brief reads the thread and compresses it into a structured one-page summary. Quick Scan at the top (assessment, next step, status) for agents who need to act in seconds. Full breakdown below for the complex cases. The Quick Scan format exists because a support specialist handling 100+ tickets/day tried an early version and told me the brief was longer than the ticket. She was right. Restructured the output overnight based on her feedback. Three surfaces: web app (paste anything, no signup), Zendesk Marketplace sidebar (live ticket data), and Chrome extension (works alongside any browser-based helpdesk). Also just shipped a CaseMargin MCP server — listed on the official MCP registry. Any AI agent (Claude, Cursor, etc.) can call Brief programmatically to generate case briefs or check escalation readiness. Genuinely looking for feedback from anyone in support ops, MSP, or helpdesk work. If the tool isn't useful, I want to know that too.
