Bokha is a simple app that allows you, in seconds, to know the allergens any product contains by scanning its barcodes. It's the perfect tool for people with mild food intolerances, the best companion to do the grocery shopping!
Can it identify any product? E.g. also from a different market from another country? Can you share more details about the database of those products? Whether is it needed to upload some info about the product on the platform or...
@busmark_w_nika Yes it can! It uses the open database Open Food Facts (https://us.openfoodfacts.org/), which anyone can update. This is why, as I say in the app, Bokha shouldn't be used in case of severe allergy, but in my experience it's very reliable, and works worldwide (even though not all products are registered).
@alex_gsy Thank you :) I didn't know about openfoodfacts but I can see that other people can contribute there so probably I could add some from the Slovak market :)
