Most small web tools want an account and an upload before they do anything.
Birdsuite is 13 tools that don't: sign a PDF, shrink an image, cut a video,
fill a form, play Sudoku — the file never leaves your tab, because the work
happens in your browser. The few tools that do need a server (video
meetings, file transfer, one-time secrets, voice messages) are end-to-end
encrypted and run on our own machines in Germany. No ads, generous free
tiers.

I'm Maksim Donic from Berlin Bird Studios. We build websites for clients in
Berlin, and over the years we kept hitting the same wall: needing some small
tool, finding one, and discovering it wanted an account and a file upload
just to crop an image. So we started building our own, one at a time.
Birdsuite is what that turned into — thirteen of them.
These do their work in your browser. The file never leaves the tab:
✍️ Sign — sign a PDF: draw or type, place, download
📝 Fill — fill in PDF forms right in the document
🖼 Shrink — resize and convert images (EXIF and GPS stripped along the way)
✂️ Trim — cut, mute and downscale videos
🎥 Clip — record your screen and camera
🧾 Bill — open XRechnung and ZUGFeRD e-invoices as a readable document
📓 Note — Markdown notes, local-first, shareable, with an API
🧩 Solve — Sudoku you can play with hand gestures through your camera,
plus printable PDF puzzle books
These two are zero-knowledge: the browser encrypts, and the key travels in
the URL fragment, which browsers never send anywhere. Our server stores
containers it cannot open:
🔐 Seal — share a secret that can be read exactly once
🗣 Talk — voice messages across languages: your device transcribes what you
said, the other side reads it in their language. Even the contact list
syncs encrypted
📹 Meet — video calls where the audio and video go peer-to-peer between
browsers; our server only does the signalling. Your guests never need an
account
And two ordinary server-side tools, running on our own machines in Germany:
📤 Transfer — big files via expiring links
📅 Book — your booking page, plus group polls for finding a date
No ads and no tracking anywhere, including on paid plans. You can use
everything without signing up; an account only comes in if you want higher
limits.
The one I'd most like feedback on is Solve's hand-gesture control — point,
pinch, release. It works well on our machines, but cameras and lighting vary
wildly, so I'm curious whether it holds up on yours. And if you try Talk, I'd
love to know how the transcription did with your language.
