Hi Hunters! 👋
I’m Martins, the maker of BioStack.
For the last few years, I’ve been obsessively tracking my biomarkers. But every time I got my results back, I faced the same problem:
The "Normal" Trap: My doctor would say my results were "normal," but I didn't want "average"—I wanted optimal.
The PDF Mess: I had files scattered everywhere, making it impossible to see trends over time.
The Action Gap: I knew I was low on something, but I didn't know which brand of supplement to take or when to take it.
I spent my Christmas break building the tool I wish I had 5 years ago.
🧬 Meet BioStack The operating system for your biology.
How it works:
📄 Drop your PDF: Upload any blood test result (Quest, LabCorp, or local labs).
🔍 AI Analysis: Get a plain-English explanation of every marker.
📉 Biological Age: See if you are aging faster or slower than your calendar age.
💊 Smart Stack: Get a generated daily checklist of supplements based on your deficiencies.
🔒 Privacy First This is sensitive data. BioStack is encrypted, and I (the founder) cannot access your files. Your health data belongs to you, not us.
I’d love for you to try it out. The "Free" tier lets you analyze your latest results immediately.
I’ll be hanging out in the comments all day—let me know what features you want to see next!

@msulcs This is super relevant — I’ve had so many “normal but not optimal” lab results and no clear next step. Love the trend view + biological age angle. Quick question: which lab panels do you handle best today (Quest/LabCorp/custom), and how do you avoid over-recommending supplements from noisy markers?

@hijacey Thanks so much! That 'normal vs. optimal' gap was exactly the frustration that started this whole project.
To answer your questions:
1. Lab Support:Quest and LabCorp are our 'Gold Standard'—the parser is tuned specifically for their layouts, so extraction is near-instant. However, because we use LLMs to parse the document structure (rather than strict template matching), it handles custom/local clinic PDFs surprisingly well. If you have a funky format, send it through—I’m actively monitoring logs to handle edge cases.
I tried different tests in several languages from local laboratories. It understood all the tests.
2. Avoiding 'Supplement Bloat': This is a huge focus for us. We avoid the 'kitchen sink' approach by:
Prioritization: The dashboard highlights your 'Top 3 Priorities' first. We focus on fixing red-flag deficiencies before suggesting marginal optimizations.
The 'Stop' List: We don't just tell you what to take; we tell you what to stop taking if your levels are already high (e.g., stopping Iron if Ferritin is optimal).
Contraindications: The Smart Stack engine checks for interactions so you aren't taking competing minerals at the same time.
Give it a spin with a PDF and let me know how the parser handles it!
