BeneTalk - Speech coach for people who stutter by people who stutter

Hello everyone, My name is Jordi and I am the founder of BeneTalk. I am a person who stutters and am thrilled to share the launch of BeneTalk on Product Hunt: we’re on a mission to help people who stutter find joy in speaking! 👀 What is BeneTalk?👀 BeneTalk is not a magic cure for stuttering or a therapy program where the primary goal is to chase fluency. BeneTalk is a tool to help people who stutter adopt and retain new habits that can help them communicate more confidently and comfortably. I went to many speech therapists from the age of 5 and although I made progress, it was difficult to transfer what I had learnt outside of the clinic. Over time, I realised that my quality of life improved from the amount of proactive practice I was doing during everyday activities. So I thought, why not create a tool that can track my speech throughout the day to help me ingrain these new communication habits? And that’s exactly what BeneTalk does. 🛠️ How does BeneTalk work?🛠️ BeneTalk is a speech tracker - think of a fitness tracker but for speech. Speech tracking technology allows you to: • Be more proactive: use any speaking opportunity to learn and practice. • Receive immediate audio, visual or haptic feedback during your conversations. • Playback conversations and gain insights to better understand your speech and find your rhythm. • Review your objective speech history to improve motivation, confidence and resilience. At BeneTalk, we take privacy seriously. All user's recordings are private as they are solely stored locally on user's devices. 🚀 Coming next🚀 • Speaker recognition - so that other voices and noises are ignored. • Exercises on dealing with feared/difficult words and sounds. I LOVE this concept! Yes, yes, yes, and yes! We need more tools that are designed to help and elevate people, with kindness and a bit of fun. We owe it to ourselves, as humans! BeneTalk is exactly that, and while I am not the ideal user for this tool, I find it extremely important and will forever retain the information of such a tool existing in the first place! Kudos kudos kudos.

I've known Jordi for a long time. While other innovations may come about as a result of market space and opportunities, BeneTalk came about purely from Jordi's genuine determination to help people who stutters to better their quality of life. Jordi stutters and he enjoys talking and telling stories! I can see the pain and struggle he has to go through in doing so, but at the same time I see this unusual determination to get through. It is the same determination that made me choose to work with Jordi and support his dream of helping people who stutters, like himself. The BeneTalk app looks awesome (and I'm sure further improvement will come!) and I think it is about time such product enters the market.
