Finally a collaboration tool that doesn't suck.
Adam Zieliński
@andy_cleff thanks for such an amazing comment! Would love to know what you were so moved by, what AHA! moment did you have?

I've been looking for something like this. I had tried whiteboard apps before but they all lacked key features that bench has: files, notes and voice. Two small things I would add: - When dragging anything, show the trash can at the bottom right for simple drag and drop deleting. I think it's more intuitive. - Undo function when drawing. Great job and good luck!

@espitia7 Glad to see you like Bench ! BTW: The idea for dragging files to trash bin is AWESOME, thank you !

I like what I see in [bench]. Will have to try with a coworker. What about Slack integration? I'd also need/want text annotation, not just drawing on images.
Adam Zieliński
@stoweboyd thank you! Let us know your thoughts once you try it out with your friend - would love to hear what you think so we can make [bench] even better! Slack integration is coming really soon!

@stoweboyd text annotations are coming - writing with mouse is driving us crazy too :) Have you tried screenshot/screenshare plugin to chrome? It's a powerhouse during meetings.

Michael ANDRE
@stoweboyd this chrome is 1 click instal - Pick screenshot tool from right menu. That's all.

great stuff, demo looks really on point with some cool material design elements

@milof A dziekowac, dziekowac Filipie :) Please give us feedback once you used with with someone.
Filip Miłoszewski
@augenblick75 gonna try it with my remote web dev next week. Will share some feedback for sure
Samir Doshi
simple and powerful - the holy grail
Michael ANDRE
@samir_doshi yes we finally found it ;) Thanks for the feedback, it just great to see people's love after 2 years of development :D
Roberto Scaccia
Wow, love it. Super intuitive and addictive.
Michael ANDRE
@robertoscaccia we love it that you love it :D And the most awesome things are still in our development pipeline. What you see is just an MVP. Cheers!

This. Is. AMAZING! I've been working remotely with a distributed team of developers, designers, and PMs across the U.S. and Latin America for over 4 years and this is by far the best online collaboration tool I've seen. It's just a completely different experience. Congrats to the team. p.s. Did find myself looking for a way to share video but I understand it's probably unnecessary if you are actually trying to get work done.
Michael ANDRE
@ginoferrand Thanks for the love. You are totally right on cameras - they would be distracting from content on the bench. It was one of the earliest decisions while building bench not to have them. On the other note we have a screensharing/tabsharing/screenshots with the chrome plugin.
Gino Ferrand
@augenblick75 Yea, I figured you left out video on purpose, after thinking about it. I did install the extension and have been using the screensharing function. Although I prefer to use screenshots because it seems the pointer isn't seen on screensharing.
Michael ANDRE
@ginoferrand can you join Justin on this bench now to double check that pointe screensharing issue https://app.usebench.com/D4Z0OUB7A

Can anyone explain what makes it so different from Skype? Why should I use it over skype
Adam Zieliński
@shechter_ilan thanks for asking your question. Primarily [bench] helps achieve a greater level of productivity than what is possible on skype. Screensharing is only one part of that equation, it's the fact that you can work on multiple things at once on [bench], everyone can see everything, you can hold their attention. You don't need to set up calls, people don't need to login or have any application installed. Just need to send someone a link. It's effortless. But, really you can only experience the difference, words can only go so far, would you be up for a demo so we can show you the ropes?
