Putting the data analyst inside Slack is smart because that’s where the question already happens. The hard part is keeping answers trustworthy. Do replies include the query/source trail behind each chart?
The Slack surface plus row-level security is the interesting part. Once the AI analyst moves from answering questions to scheduled reports, anomaly posts, or MCP-style app actions, the boundary becomes: what is read-only, what can trigger downstream work, and what receipt shows who asked and what changed?
