GitKraken Client - Legendary Git client with an intuitive GUI & powerful CLI

GitKraken is a mixed bag. It is definitely a good GUI for Git. It has some nice ideas in the UI, such as quick branch creation, quick commiting, isolating branches for viewing and so on.

However the framework it is built in limits it greatly. The application is slow, only displays one repository and has to be launched multiple times to display more. Diffs are only viewable inside the main window as well.

Pros:

- Works on Mac/Windows and especially Linux

- Is quite intuitive

Cons:

- Very very slow

- Slow switching between repos, GUI for this could be better

It crashes immediately upon opening, and has for several versions. Fixing that would make it dramatically better!

Hello Product Hunters :) In GitKraken’s main interface, we have everything we need. In the left panel, we have information about the project, such as local branches, the remote repositories added to the project and their branches, stashes, tags, and sub modules. The project’s history and the work in progress are in the center, and we can see our work in tree diagram GUI. In the right panel, we can see details of any commit we select from the history, we can also change our files and commit again using push command. At the top, we have Undo,Redo,Push,Pull,Branch,Stash,Pop,Board & Timelines command and we can also use search button that we can use to look for commits.All these features exist in the main interface, which makes it a great experience to work with GitKraken.For Github Student Developers Gitkraken's Provide free one year PRO version . The GitKraken Git GUI is, hands down, the best git gui client I've ever used (and I've tried them all). For one, it WORKS, and works well. Second, its beautifully designed. Third, its cross-platform which is something I definitely find myself needing more and more of these days. One of the biggest, positive, changes that occurred in the last year (of this review), was the introduction of tabs and the speed improvements, so if you've used it in the past - try it again, its fantastic. I am a GitKraken Ambassador, but I want to point out, that I was a user of the GitKraken Git GUI *before* that program was introduced, and I had to apply to it once it was (and ultimately be accepted). I just love this app (plus, make sure and check out GitKraken Timelines and GitKraken Boards for some other *awesome* applications coming from the GitKraken team)

GitKraken it's really best tool ever, since i start to using it, i win a lot of time. Pros: - Nice UI/UX - Do/Undo - Amazing community - Helpful resources Cons: - (Haven't found yet)

Great UI, super simple to use, with many integrations (Trello, Jira, GitHub) and a lot of actions available (create a PR from the app, merge, rebase, cherry pick commits).

By far my favorite Git GUI out there! I've tried so many of them, but GitKraken knocks the others out of the park. Another plus: the GitKraken team is awesome! They love being involved with their product users and they listen to what users want. I will always recommend GitKraken!
