Atlas - Your tasks, notes, journal, and focus, all in one place

by
Atlas brings your tasks, notes, daily journal, and a real focus mode into one quiet, monochrome app. No setup, no clutter. The focus mode blocks the distracting apps on your iPhone while a session runs, so deep work isn't just a countdown. Everything syncs across your devices. It's built by one person, indie and calm by design. No ads and no third-party trackers, so your notes and journal stay yours.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Adriano, an indie dev, and Atlas started as a purely selfish project. I kept bouncing between productivity apps and never sticking with one. Every task app wanted a project, a label, a priority and a due date before I could write down "buy milk". My notes were in one app, my journal in another, my focus timer had no idea the others existed. I was spending more time organizing the apps than doing the work. So I built the thing I actually wanted: one calm place for tasks, notes, a daily journal, and a focus mode that locks me out of Instagram, X and the rest while I'm working. Releasing it wasn't the plan. Then I showed it to a few friends and they all wanted it on their own phones, and one wouldn't stop texting me about it. That's what pushed me to publish. The core (tasks, notes, journal) is free. The focus mode with app-blocking is part of an optional subscription, which is how one person with no investors keeps something like this alive. Now that it's out, I'd love your feedback: what's missing, what feels clunky, features you wish it had. I read everything and ship fixes fast. Thanks for checking it out 🙏

The monochrome look is genuinely calming, and the focus mode blocking apps is exactly what I've been wanting. One small idea: a quick "brain dump" shortcut on the home screen that opens straight into a blank note without any extra taps, so I can capture a thought before it slips away during a busy day.

This is exactly the kind of thing I want Atlas to be good at, catching a thought before it's gone. There's quick capture inside the app already, but a zero-tap way in straight from the home screen (a widget or a long-press shortcut) is a real gap. Adding it to my list, thanks for the nudge.

Love that the focus mode actually blocks distracting apps at the system level instead of just a trusty countdown. That kind of detail shows real care for people who actually need to get into deep work.

Thank you! That was the whole reason I built it. A countdown never actually stopped me from swiping over to Instagram anyway, so if the focus mode couldn't get in my way, it was pointless. Glad it landed.

the monochrome interface is genuinely beautiful, it makes the whole app feel like a calm space rather than another productivity tool yelling for attention. love that focus mode actually blocks apps, not just runs a timer.

"Another productivity tool yelling for attention" is exactly what I was trying NOT to build, so this means a lot. Most of these apps stress me out more than they help. Glad the calm comes through. Thank you.

Love the monochrome vibe and that it forces real focus by blocking apps. One thing that would help me stick with the focus sessions is letting me set custom break lengths and gentle nudges to stand up or stretch, instead of just a hard countdown. Would make the calm rhythm feel even more intentional.

Good news on the first part, there's a Pomodoro mode where you set your own break length between sessions, so it's not just one hard countdown. The stand-up/stretch nudge is a lovely idea though, hadn't thought of it, and it fits the calm rhythm you're describing perfectly. Noting it down.
