Yet another great addition to Blockstack. I think the login/navigation for Blockstack is stil kinda confusing, but the technology itself is really promising. Google Docs is one thing that is really missing on the decentralized web, so this is a really good start. Google Docs seems to still be the standard for collaborating, but whenever I have someone wanting to collab with me on Google Docs I'm like please no.. I don't have a Google account... What's really missing is the mass adoption of Blockstack or a similar technology where we can have all these great decentralized, privacy respecting alternatives to Google, Facebook, Dropbox, etc.

I like the work you guys do, I follow your arcane maps but this seem like just another docs with blockchain on top of it. I really love the work coda guys have put in to transform how docs can be or might be in future. I hope you guys take a moment and think do we need to recreate the wheel and put an different kind of rim on it, will it really compel people to switch. Keep up the good work guys :)

" every file gets a new password from the master one. " May I know where all these new passwords are stored? Are they kept by a server? If so, is that considered centralized?
Walterion
@enzo_powell Yes, it is stored in the encrypted storage, saved by your private key. To get more info on the secure storage, we tried to provide more info while you are signing up.

recommended for people who know ms office – for me the biggest obstacle of this generally very interesting approach: the large toolbar makes me queasy.

Wow. I thought you need Microsoft/ Google liked resources in order to build a office productivity suite. Somehow you did that :O Impressive and congratulation.
Walterion
@yan_cheng_cheok1 Thank you very much Yan, that is lovely to hear that and please let me know if you need anything.

Really interesting idea, one of the more interesting blockchain things I've heard of. Bitcoin is 130B+ bank vault that is publicly accessible -- and yet, no one has cracked in 11 years. Guess my docs would be safe on it. Our CTO has remarked on several occasions that Github was basically a blockchain in many ways -- now you've applied that to docs.

Yesterday was my first time running into this product and I have just started it. I use other word processing (including Google Docs on Google Drive) since I have too much paperwork at home that I am trying to digitize. One of the cloud drives that I was using known as OffiDocs, my files have gotten jeopardized on there and would need to create them over again in a way that I am able to remember and hoping that I can remember l of them (as every bit of it counts for me). I am still in the process of getting used to Arcane Docs and other features in Arcane Office. This can be a new future along with the other cloud drives that I am currently using (including Google Drive). I would only recommend this to people that I strictly trust.
