Halal budgeting, zakat & goals for Muslim families

by•

Assalamu alaikum, and thanks for checking out Amanah Budget.

I built this because every budgeting app I tried treated my faith as an afterthought. Zakat was a once-a-year spreadsheet scramble, interest hid in the noise, and nothing understood saving for Hajj or Ramadan. So we built the money app I wished existed.

What it does today:

•  Zakat, done properly: all four madhabs, live gold and silver nisab, and a hawl tracked on the Umm al-Qura calendar. It counts cash, gold and silver by weight and purity, investments, crypto and business assets, and keeps a PDF record of what you paid.

•  Riba, caught and given away: interest is flagged whether it comes from your bank, a CSV import or your own typing, and a give-away ledger shows what's still to give.

•  Your portfolio, screened: holdings are checked against criteria based on AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) standards, with purification amounts where they apply. You can check any US ticker before you buy, too.

•  A budget from your real spending: it reads your last three months and proposes one, sorted into 48 halal-aware categories.

•  Goals with a date: Hajj, Umrah, Ramadan, Eid and more, each paced so you know whether you're on track, plus sadaqah and Qurbani giving goals.

•  Together: Family+ shares budgets and goals with up to five members, and you choose what each one sees.

•  Private: read-only bank sync through Plaid. We never see your bank login, there are no ads, and your data is never sold.

Status: live today on iOS and Android, in the US only for now. The free plan covers all the core features, manual tracking, CSV import, one savings goal and the full zakat calculator. Pro adds bank sync and unlimited goals: $7.99/mo on our website or $9.99/mo in the app, and less on a yearly plan.

I'd genuinely love your feedback, especially on the zakat calculation and the family flows.
