How do you currently decide if a message is a scam?

I’m working on a simple tool that analyzes text messages (SMS, WhatsApp, email) and flags potential scams.

The idea is very straightforward: you paste a message and get a quick assessment of whether it looks suspicious, along with a short explanation.

Before going further, I’m trying to understand how people actually deal with this today.

A few questions:

• When you receive a message that feels “off”, what do you usually do?

• Do you rely on intuition, search the number online, ignore it, or something else?

• Would you use a tool where you can paste a message and get an immediate opinion?

• What would make you trust (or not trust) the result?

I’m trying to keep this focused and useful rather than adding too many features.
