Our ultra-fast Daily: Three takes on new products. Yesterdayโs top ten launches. Thatโs it.
Beat imposter syndrome
Earlier this week Maker Aashni Shah launched HypeDocs on Product Hunt.
"When I joined my last job, I had lost most of my confidence and felt imposter syndrome. My manager recommended I start a HypeDoc - a living list of all my achievements. I started tracking my wins and could immediately tell the positive impact it had on me."
Since then Aashni turned her HypeDoc into a product to help others suffering from the same issue.
With HypeDocs you can:
๐ Track all wins, big or small
๐ง๐ฝโ๐คโ๐ง๐ฟ Create an accountability group
๐ฅ Set goals like "get a promotion"
๐ง๐พโโ๏ธ Set your mission to help stay focused
๐ Track an unlimited number of achievements
๐ง๐ฟโ๐คโ๐ง๐ฝ Join a HypePod- bi-weekly accountability groups
โฐ Receive weekly reminders about your own achievements
Some early reactions from the community suggest Aashni was not alone in needing a product like this:
"Love this! I was raised to be humble (southern US culture for ya), but now that Iโm in tech, you gotta be HYPED ON YOURSELF." -Anna
"Thank you for teaching me how to celebrate the small wins. So important for so many people!" -Jake
"Hypedocs is the best money I spent on my mental health in 2020." -Regina
As a special shoutout for the Product Hunt community, Aashni is offering a lifetime 50% discount on paid plans for those coming from the post-page. (You only have a few days left to redeem this!)

Myspace, anyone?
Nostalgia-inducing products are pulling at our heartstrings right now. On Monday we reviewed David Dobrik's Dispo, the camera app that elicits nostalgic feelings associated with using a disposable camera.
Towards the end of last year, Maker Of The Year Runner-up, An, created SpaceHey. A fully functional Myspace-like site where users can have fun, meet friends, or be creative. From its blue and white exterior, to the โI built this using HTMLโ vibes, SpaceHey feels like a living time capsule.
As the OG of social media, Myspace elicits nostalgia for that simpler time on the internet when Myspace Tom was everyone's first virtual friend. If youโre keen to relive the memories, we think you'll enjoy it.
If you're ready to go fully down the rabbit hole of nostalgic products, here's a lil' journey back in time:
๐ฝ Make Wordart will have you reliving simpler times of art projects in IT class
๐ Gifcities is the retro animated GIF search engine
๐พ The Internet Arcade is a playable archive of 900+ retro arcade games for your delight and nostalgia ๐น๏ธ
๐พ Retro App Store show's how the App Store would look if it was launched in 80s
๐ Retro Widget and Retro Widget 2 blast users back to the 2000s using their iPhone and Apple Watch. Snake 2 anyone?

Star in a Super Bowl ad ๐
The internet's resident mischief-makers are at again, and this time they want to put you in a Super Bowl ad in 2022.
Mschf just announced it's latest drop:
"Weโve secured an ad spot for next yearโs Super Bowl, but instead of just running a boring old ad, we are giving it to the people. All you have to do is buy a spot, send us a 3 second video, and tune in on game day in 2022 to see yourself during the Super Bowl.
Already we have about 500 of the 5,000 spots filled (about $500,000 committed). This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to support your team, shoutout your family, plug your businessโฆ really do anything you like." - Daniel Greenberg
If your dream is to see yourself up on the big screen or secure one of the most expensive ad spots in history, now is your chance to shine. ๐ฌโญ๏ธ

Reality TV for Startups
Numerous lockdowns and shelter-in-place orders have seen us binge-watching TV shows, documentaries, and movies with Netflix Party, or on Disney+, Peacock, Hulu, Apple TV and for a short time Quibi (RIP).
TV shows have kept us indoors and entertained during our downtime these last 12 months.
At the start of 2020 we got into a new reality show, launched not by a well-funded studio, but a B2B startup, 360Learning. Onboarding Joei follows Joei Chan through her onboarding process at a new company.
The mini docu-series popularity shocked Joei, "I was very surprised to see people other than my parents interested in watching the show," with people around the world tuning in to share in her frustrations and fears as she navigated a new role whilst the pandemic took hold.
Season two just kicked off as we see Joei take on the new challenge of growing a team and becoming a first-time manager in this remote-first world.
This well-filmed and very open show struck a chord with the community last year, and we're excited to follow along this year for season 2.
Some community reviews of season 1:
"This perspective is amazing, honest and valuable. If you didn't know any better, you'd think you were watching a Netflix produced show." -Kevin
"I love how this show is REAL. You could expect the company to be willing to hide some of the difficulties showcased in some episodes - but they didn't. Bravo" - Pauline
"My favorite series during the lockdown ๐" -Yevhenii

The next Instagram?
Tech-Twitter was all about the new version of Dispo this weekend, David Dobrik's camera app that elicits nostalgic feelings associated with using a disposable camera.
The app launched on Product Hunt last year, originally called Disposable, with the latest version being released this weekend in beta and requiring an invite to access on Testflight.
So what is it? Dispo is a camera app for iPhone with a pretty bold design that's meant to mimic the delayed gratification of getting photos developed, while not actually needing to get anything printed out.
After taking your snaps, you have to wait for the rolls to develop before you can see them in the app. For anyone that remembers the thrill of getting your vacation photos developed IRL, you'll get the anticipation that builds here. Unlike getting your negatives back from the drugstore, however, on Dispo, the photos look great even if youโve taken a crappy shot - meaning you don't need to be a photography student to share a cool-looking snap.
The biggest new addition to the latest drop is shared rolls. Think of it like a collaborative photo album that develops new pics every morning at 9 am. Nobody, even the photographer, can see the photos until then. This social element is interesting and draws comparisons to IG and other image-based social networks.
Could Dispo become the next Instagram? The jury's out for now but we're excited to test it out and join some of your rolls.

Product Hunt's new GM
Today we are welcoming the latest member of the Product Hunt team: Ashley Higgins. Ashley is joining to lead the product vision and company-wide execution as we bring Product Hunt into its next chapter. ๐ฏ
Ashley is a talented product leader who has spent a decade building consumer products at scale at companies like Reddit, Clearbit, and SEGA. She was the first mobile PM at Reddit, responsible for shipping their iOS and Android apps (on Product Hunt!). She then went on to found their search & discovery team to help users navigate the vast swathes of Reddit. We know her skills in growing community-led products will be instrumental in evolving Product Hunt over the coming years.
Ashley has been quietly working with the team for the last few months on some exciting new initiatives (more to share soon!). This is going to be a big year for the Product Hunt community. We have a lot of work to do, and that means we are set to double our team this year. Please take a look at our current open roles and apply if you're interested in being part of our growing team.
