Facebook's annual, Apple-esque developer conference kicks off today.

This year's F8 conference follows major controversy. Last month, Zuckerberg testified about the leak of 87 million users' data. Elon Musk even deactivated the SpaceX and Tesla Facebook page as part of the #DeleteFacebook movement.

Last night, WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum abruptly announced his departure from Facebook. WhatsApp's other co-founder, Brian Acton, left Facebook months ago. He hasn't been silent: Startups are paying attention. Mozilla (the company behind Firefox) launched the Facebook Container, a tool to block Facebook from tracking you around the internet. 🦊
