Get professional-grade videos with this new app from the makers of Halide

Luxās Halide app has been a hit with photographers for its easy-to-use pro-level features, to the point that it has a 4.5-star rating on the iOS App Store. Now, they're bringing that magic to video with Kino, a new app designed to allow iPhone videographers to shoot more professional films.Ā
Kino takes advantage of the iPhone 15 Proās ability to shoot ProRes videos in Log format. If youāre not familiar with Log, It is a super flat color profile that videographers love because it gives them lots of control over the final look of their videos.
One of Kinoās coolest features is āInstant Grade,ā which lets you shoot with grade presets right out of the gate. You can also record in Apple Log format and play with the presets later. Another handy feature is AutoMotion, which automatically picks the best exposure settings for that dreamy cinematic motion blur.
Kino also supports Look Up Tables (LUTs), which are tools that adjust the color and tone of your video. You can even import your own custom LUTsāa feature that Appleās Final Cut Pro for iPad doesnāt have.
The developers are clear about privacy: their apps donāt collect data or analyze your media, and thereās no generative AI involved.Ā
Alongside Halide and Kino, the team also built Spectre, a camera app dedicated to making long exposure photography on iPhone easier with AI-based stabilization technology.Ā
You can pick up Kino for $9.99 today. After that, it goes up to $19.99, so get it while itās hot.
So weāre just⦠talking to software now?

ElevenLabs has been the go-to for voice for a while. Now they've turned that expertise into agents that actually get things done. You set one up, it talks like a real person, listens, responds, and helps handle the task ā support calls, bookings, whatever the job is. Not a demo, not a "press 1 for sales" situation. It's ready to deploy. Feels like one of those shifts where the interface quietly changes. Less typing, less clicking, more just saying what needs to happen and letting it play out.
