The solutions that are built on top of GPT for pure AI writing might not stay relevant. Platforms will probably have to go deep into one use case and solve it very very well.

I think the impact is definitely there but I think eventually they would find a way to stand out.. OpenAI would definitely give an opportunity to do that some way through custom training models or something like that. Because I'm sure they get to make more money through selling API access B2B than B2C.

ChatGPT is great for generating ideas, and very basic essays, but I don't see it being used for more sophisticated writing, like some of the tools in the market (I'm thinking of products like Sudowrite, etc).

There is a lot of prompting one has to do to get the kind of outputs AI writing tools provide with minimal input. In my personal opinion, AI writing tools are trained for a specific use case, and that's why the outputs are spot on most of the time. ChatGPT, on the other hand, can be a little broad and verbose. But, it is a decent tool for those that may not have very hefty or specific content requirements.
