What's the best AI model for coding?

New AI models pop up every week. Some developer tools like @Cursor, @Zed, and @Kilo Code let you choose between different models, while more opinionated products like @Amp and @Tonkotsu default to 1 model.

Curious what the community recommends for coding tasks? Any preferences?

Do you still know how to build anything without AI? (Or are we outsourcing our “taste” too?)

I m noticing something weird happening in solo dev land.

We used to compete on:

  • remembering docs

  • knowing frameworks

  • being a better coder

Now it feels like the real edge is:

Share your TOP 3 learnings for this year

365 days is more than enough time to get burned, mess things up, and (most importantly) learn some hard lessons.

My biggest wake-up call this year was neglecting my health until it completely derailed my business I had to turn down collabs, miss conferences, meetups, and a ton of opportunities.

How will you use the holiday break to reset or plan?

I absolutely love seeing people still launching stuff even during the holidays. In my opinion, every true founder is a workaholic (a little bit).

I m pretty sure half of us are secretly thinking about business during Christmas.

How do you treat content that doesn’t take off? (+ My rules)

Ten years ago, if a Facebook post didn t receive enough reactions, I would delete it immediately.

Yep, 18-year-old Nika was terrified that people would notice her failure. Reality check: when a post flops, almost nobody sees it anyway. The only person who actually suffers from the low engagement is the original poster.

How do you increase your productivity when working from home?

Working from home has a ton of traps, like:

  • Family members think that just because you re home, you re always available and need to drop everything for them.

  • Your workday can stretch across the entire day, and sometimes you don t even know when to stop.

  • You start missing real social contact.

  • But it also has some huge upsides:

  • You save time and money on commuting.

  • You can sleep in a little longer.

  • You get to schedule your day exactly how it suits you.

Which company nailed marketing in 2025? My top picks

The more information and ads we re exposed to, the more resistant we become.

(It s literally impossible to absorb everything, so our brains just filter most of it out.)

BUT there s always that one exception.

Which productivity hack do you think is underrated? Share.

Everyone has their favourite routine to perform at their best.

Some are advocates for the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes of intensive work, with a 5-minute short break), others love time-blocking, a few plan the entire week on Sunday, and there are even people who say ice-cold showers la Wim Hof help them focus.

As a brand, how do you face criticism and how do you respond to it?

As a brand, you receive feedback. Either through customer/tech support, online in reviews, or users refer to your name on social networks.

Let's face it, negative feedback spreads easily and is shared more often because people don't often talk about positive things.

Founders: what is your favourite channel for growing your audience?

I m pretty sure most founders grow mainly on Twitter. Or LinkedIn.

But I ve realised it really depends on what kind of product you ve built.

If you re a fashion-focused founder, you probably grew up on Instagram or Pinterest.

Do you have a source of information/medium you trust? Which one? (not only for tech info)

Now I don't just mean tech, but general news as well.

A lot of people rely on X as a news source, but increasingly on TikTok. I don't think social media is the most trustworthy source of information.

Which stream will prevail: Pro AI or Anti AI?

Today, I read 2 messages that are contradictory in nature, and it seems like one branch is rebelling against the other.

  • Meta and other big tech companies are replacing human workers with AI.

  • Heineken, Aerie, Polaroid, and even Cadbury are riding the anti-AI wave, mocking Big Tech and positioning human-made creativity as the ultimate authenticity flex.

How do you think that these pro and anti streams can affect the evolution of AI and our perception of its use?

What was your 1st product?

Sometimes I have a problem to have a look at my past milestones or things I have achieved so far.
When I think about it, even creating my first product was a success for me. I ve always been a bit shy and afraid to show what I was working on, or I just didn t know how to present it properly, so it took me a really long time.

My first product was an online workout program with a payment gateway, and the monthly price was ridiculously low. But I managed to monetise it and had my first customers. I was probably around 20 at the time.

  • What was your first product?

  • What would you do differently to maintain it and make it successful?

  • What lesson did you learn from it?

Why is it worth being on Product Hunt every day?

I ve been here for almost three years, and over time, I ve started to see this platform as a social network.

I know that many people come to launch their products and, due to time constraints, do not have time to establish a strong presence here, but I m glad some regular users focus on building the community.

How do you stop yourself from scrolling brainrot and stay focused on work?

This came to my mind when I read about how the creation of Sora has raised concerns that it could be an AI equivalent of TikTok (critics warning it could fall into the same addictive patterns as other social platforms).

And after several messages with some people, I also noticed how I wasted a lot of time on my desktop instead of doing something productive or learning.

Are humanoids just an unburst bubble with no future?

I have seen (let's say) quite a lot of hardware robots to be launched on Product Hunt, and we tend to be bullish about such futuristic things. BUT...

Renowned roboticist Rodney Brooks says that this is only a bubble.

What inspired you to start a business?

I'll say it bluntly that running a business is not as easy as it is presented on the Internet. You have to come up with a good and useful idea, and even then, you don't win.

You can only see the results after a long time. Not everyone can do it for a long time. To do it, you need to have a strong motive. For some people, it may be a family tradition, for some, money.

How do you fact-check information in the era of Deepfakes and AI?

The perfection of creations generated by artificial intelligence makes it difficult to distinguish fiction from reality.

The precision of AI images has advanced to the point that even professionals (graphic designers, video-makers) are sometimes not 100% sure of their authenticity.
