Did Appwrite do the ideal Product Hunt launch?

Appwrite last launched on Product Hunt a month ago. It was their fourth launch here, and they really nailed it:

  • #1 Product of the Day

  • #1 Developer Tool of the Week

  • #1 Developer Tool of the Month

What Appwrite did right

ROI on Product Hunt

Builders, for those of you who have launched on Producthunt or actively engage in comment sections; What is the ROI here? As a new user and builder myself, how do you get the most value out of this platform?

For those who've launched: How many people are actually following through with feedback, beta testing, or staying in contact long term? Are those 10-20% of people worth it?
For those active in threads: How do you get value? How often does the scratch my back and I'll scratch yours exchange actually take place/help? Are you just here to scroll?
If you come here looking for an answer, how much time do you spend looking for it before you go to the next platform? Is reddit the alternative?
If you have any good strategies, let me know!! Would love to learn more.

Do you know any impactful social responsible projects?

Many of us appreciate tools that save us time or money in our businesses. But there are also projects out there with a bigger mission (improving lives, supporting the planet, and helping those in need, to name a few).

Do you know of any inspiring projects that aim to make the world a better place?

Why are you NOT using Raycast?

About 4 months ago, I asked for beginner tips on Raycast so that I could start trying it out. I'd heard some people talk about how helpful it was, but just downloading it, I didn't really know where to start or how to get the most out of it.

Well, 4 months later, it is an integral part of my workflow now. I'd actually say it's one of the most impactful apps I use (the other being @Aqua Voice) in terms of really improving my overall work. I use it now for so many things every day, and I've gotten it set up to be incredibly fast and efficient for what I need. I think I would feel very slow and disorganized going back to not using it.

What tech stack do you use for your work? (Hardware + Software)

Most people in this community are makers (I guess developers and marketers).

We spend most of our time in front of the computer, on video calls and the like. Understandably, we want to make it easier and more enjoyable.

What tech stack do you have that makes your work easier?

We’ve been quiet... but for a good reason 👀🚧

Hey everyone!

We ve been a bit quiet lately not because we stopped building, but because we ve been heads down working on big updates for Blockies Animate

From better docs to smoother onboarding and more animation components, we re leveling things up to make your dev experience even better.

Lessons from finishing #1 on a day two products passed 1,000 upvotes - for the first time in 2025

First, thank you. Everyone who voted, commented, or tried Chronicle. You helped us with a #1 finish in our first official launch on the same day Bubble also crossed 1000 votes. Massive gratitude

As a first-time founder, this was a special day. I would love to share what we've learnt. And would love to hear how we can do better, both in growing Chronicle and in improving the product itself.

The Ultimate AI Vibe Marketing Arsenal 🚀

the ai marketing space is going crazy right now, but there's this weird gap i keep noticing tools specifically built for "vibe marketing" are all over the place and barely tagged on product hunt. you know what i mean? those ai tools that don't just pump out generic content but actually get your brand's personality and create connections that feel real. after months of obsessively testing everything from ai sales bots to content optimizers, i finally put together a collection of tools that are absolutely crushing this balance between smart algorithms and actual human vibes: https://www.producthunt.com/@pol...

what gets me hyped about this whole category is how these tools are cracking the code on ai marketing's biggest problem: staying authentic while scaling like crazy. we're talking about ai that doesn't just spit out content it creates stuff that actually hits different, builds genuine trust, and gives people those good vibes that turn random visitors into ride-or-die fans. the tools in my collection are the real deal when it comes to this movement, from community platforms that actually understand culture to content creators that read the room and adjust their tone.

How many customers do you get from ChatGPT ?

Over the last few months more and more companies have shared that ChatGPT has become one of their top acquisition channel

Some examples:

Guillermo Rauch, CEO of Vercel, explained that they went from getting 1% to 10% of their sign-ups coming from ChatGPT within 6 months

Marie Martens, Co-founder of Tally, said that they scaled from 2 to $3M ARR in the span of 4 months thank to a major influx of customers coming from ChatGPT & Perplexity

Running Batch Tasks with AI Without Wasting Credits

Hi!

I ve been exploring Airtop and I see huge potential for task automation using AI agents especially for repetitive workflows like form filling or actions in systems without an API.

One thing I noticed is that each time the agent performs the same action (like registering multiple people), it reprocesses the task from scratch, consuming credits for each new step, even though the logic is exactly the same.

My suggestion:

Surpassing 4 Million Users

To 4 million of you,

Five years ago today, we released the first version of Scribe on Product Hunt. As they say, if you're not embarrassed by your first product, you didn't do it right and believe me, looking back now, we are deeply embarrassed. That first version wasn't even internet-enabled! It saved locally on your desktop and was as clunky as they come.

I Built a Platform for Pre-Launch Apps. Now It Pays Me Monthly $500

I didn t plan this.

I just got tired of launching into the void.

You know the drill:

You build for weeks. Maybe months.

Jots - new feature post-launch and roadmap 🚀

Jots had a great launch on Monday, receiving plenty of support and 150 new users were willing to give it a shot!

We immediately started listening to feedback and getting back to the code to get the next set of features ready!

How do you think social media is going to evolve?

We went from status updates stories short-form video.

From friends followers strangers with shared interests.

From flexing performing now what?
Feels like something's about to break, and rebuild.
Here s a take:

The next wave won t be about going viral - it ll be about belonging.

What’s your face feeling? Scan it to get a playlist for your mood.

Hi Product Hunt fam!
We have a new feature in beta that scans your facial expressions in order to recommend a playlist for your mood and we'd love your help in testing it out.
Grab the beta here (iOS only) and feel free to leave your feedback on this thread, thanks!

Almost Leaked My Key—Thank God for GitGuardian

This morning I opened my inbox to find an alert from GitGuardian about a leaked key. My first thought: Great, another phishing email. Nearly deleted it on the spot. Then I realized yesterday when I was using Cursor to bulk-update my scripts, I d left the API key in plain text
