What kind of technology surprised you last time?

We keep seeing things like AI and LLM. But I'm happy about technology products that go beyond the occasional. For example, today I read that Aura is introducing a $499 e-ink digital photo frame that allows you to work without a cable.

I was also happy with the @Flowtica Scribepen from @zaczuo .

How often should you launch on Product Hunt?

One of the common questions I get is How often can you publish a product on Product Hunt?

The guidelines state this clearly:

"You can launch as often as you have new significant product iterations available."

✅ POLL: What do you think OpenAI are announcing today?

ICYMI: OpenAI posted a cryptic tweet yesterday, announcing a livestream for today at 10am PT. The cryptic part? They swapped the S for a 5 , which, of course, set off a wave of GPT-5 speculation. But this is OpenAI, and at this point, GPT-5 rumors feel like a monthly tradition.

What do you think it is?

Thinking of Starting a SaaS Affiliate Program. Any Lessons to Share Before I Dive In?

I am in the very early research phase of launching an affiliate program for my SaaS. Nothing is set in stone yet. No commission structure, no software picked, no rollout timeline. Before I draw up a plan, I want to learn from founders and marketers who have already walked this What I am curious about: Which tracking/attribution hurdles surprised you once real traffic showed up? What signs told you an affiliate partnership was working or quietly draining resources? Any red flags when evaluating platforms? For anyone who shut a program down, what pushed you to pull the plug? I would like to avoid build-it-and-they-won t-come syndrome and budget realistically for both partner recruitment and ongoing support. Honest war stories are more useful than polished case studies, so please share the gritty details commission numbers, churn headaches, fraud issues, whatever. I will round up the best insights into a follow-up post so everyone here benefits. Thanks in advance for helping me start on the right foot!

✅ POLL: Do you buy the domain first or build the product first?

Let s settle this once and for all.

Do you spend 3 hours trying to find a clever .com before writing a single line of code? Or do you ship the MVP and slap on whatever domain wasn t taken at the time?

Cast your vote and tell us why.
