What did AI make too easy for you, and what do you wish you'd kept doing by hand?

Every shortcut removes a bit of friction, and some of that friction was doing a job. I'd like to hear which parts of your workflow you handed over and which you took back.

When a tool makes something easy, you rarely notice what the difficulty used to give you. Writing a first draft by hand forced me to decide what I actually thought. Reading user feedback line by line made me notice phrasing that a summary flattens. Writing a spec from scratch was slow, and the slowness was where I found the holes.

How do you handle churn feedback when users ask for opposite things?

Analyzing exit surveys, we noticed a strange split in why users churn. Half the responses say the product lacks advanced customization, while the other half say the interface feels too complex.

Trying to address both types of feedback at the same time leaves us running in circle trying to build more features while simultaneously trying to strip things back.

How do you determine which churn feedback to act on and which to accept as a sign that a user just wasn't your target persona?

How do you stop AI coding assistants from hallucinating fake dependencies or outdated packages?

Every time I ask an agent to scaffold a utility or integrate a service, it loves to pull in packages that either don't exist, are heavily deprecated, or use completely outdated syntax. You spend more time debugging ghost imports than it would have taken to write the boilerplate yourself.

For developers working with fast moving tech stacks daily how do you feed context or set rules so the model sticks to your actual dependency tree?

How do you keep your AI agents from recommending or importing phantom packages?
