I would go deep in trying to understand my target users. Reach out to them and have discussions about the problem you’re solving - try to understand them intimately

Both are burning cash like crazy but Perplexity won’t be able to make it back. Comet browser is cool but why? We’re moving away from visual interfaces serving html/css on a page. There is no comparison between open ai and perplexity. Perplexity will have to sell in 1-2 years

Depends on what you’re launching. If you’re launching a b2b or b2c work tool, summer may not be best as folks may not be looking to adopt new tools for work during that time. If you’re launching an everyday b2c product (like uber for dogwalking), then the summer may be a good time. In the end - know your customer.
Do you think summer is a good season for launching?

I’ve learned that more time doesn’t equal better outcomes. Having children can help you have more focused and dense working sessions knowing it’s timeboxed.

Congrats on the launch! Is the plan to integrate with local AI models once these are shipped with laptops in the future?

Has anyone come across an effective and original series of launch videos?
Hi PH, I'm starting the process of developing YouTube videos to support a launch I'm planning for in the fall. It's for a B2B edge networking product addressed to a Developer and CloudOps audience I was wondering if anyone has seen startups/tech companies with original and refreshing ways of doing animated product launch or explainer videos? I'm looking for examples that stand out in the...

Definitely a worthy concern! When new tech arises, humans tend to outsource the knowledge of doing that specific task to the tool - cause the human alone to lose capacity The loss of human intelligence is a real thing.

The capacity of humans to be comfortable with change is the biggest blocker. It’s one thing to understand if your potential customer has the pain point you’re looking to solve. It’s another to understand if their pain is bad enough they’d be willing to pay for to solve it. But to get another human to change what they’ve been doing for a long time (even if wrong) is the real battle.

So true for most businesses - it's strategic planning season to finish the year strong. However, everyone should be mindful in what business they're in. Certain businesses (such as hospitality, restauration, etc.) pick up during this season.

Definitely scattered, It tried Pocket at some time but the behaviour never stuck. It's a mix of Google Drive and Notion folders separately depending on personal or professional. I don't use bookmarks for storing articles. Just for quick access to day-to-day pages.

Depends on the audience. OpenAI will double down on the consumer with its ChatGPT product. Consumers are less concerned about these topics generally and OAI will win there. Anthropic will attract business entities that need a certain level of guardrails to avoid business critical issues (eg. in code generation). Claude will not feel too cautious for this group.

It's an important question and it all depends on your definition of success. The first question you should ask is what does success look like for you. The fact you mention the Loom founder as an example tells me you adopted the definition of success of someone else. In my sense, success shouldn't be solely defined by monetary value. It's your freedom. It's your ability to move around and...
