Is dating through apps still a thing? (+ the effect of AI and online culture)

Recent events made me think about how technology is shaping our relationships.

We re online more, we even use AI as a relationship advisor, and at the same time, it feels like it s harder for younger people to approach someone in real life.

How can you use Product Hunt to increase your credibility and popularity?

I ve mentioned several times that I see Product Hunt as a social platform, and I can say that over the past almost 3 years, it has helped me in several ways, for example:

Meeting founders and finding a community where I feel among ambitious people
Getting first access to innovative tech products
Gaining publicity being regularly present made me more visible

So how can all of this be converted into increased credibility?

Would you pay more for a product with great support?

Most people think users choose products based on features or price. In reality, support decides who stays.

A cheaper tool becomes expensive fast when every issue turns into a ticket nightmare. Meanwhile, teams keep paying more for products that solve problems and support them when it matters.

Support is not a cost. It is part of the product experience. Fast replies build trust. Clear answers reduce churn. Companies that treat support as a growth lever win.

I really wonder these questions

Would you pay for a product you could easily rebuild yourself?

As developers, it s easy to fall into the I could just code this in a weekend mindset.

But I ve realized time, maintenance, and support often cost way more than the price of the tool.

Still, sometimes I just can t justify paying for something I know I could make.

Whats your vibe coding AI stack in 2025?

I m curious what you all devs and founders are relying on day-to-day in 2025. With the flood of new ai tools, it feels like every tool looks different depending on industry and workflow.

  • What s ai tool working well for you right now?

  • Which AI tools actually save you time?

  • Which ones did you try but drop?

Would love to see how other folks are stacking their tools this year.

How do you manage to focus on your work when so many things are falling apart?

It's a rule that when one aspect of life is going well, the others are somehow failing.

At the moment, things couldn't be better on the work front:

  • I have a great team, and the company is doing well.

  • I'm praised for the results I deliver and the progress I'm making.

  • My networks are growing, and there's more and more interest in my sponsorships.

  • More people want to work together.

  • And I'm co-organising 2 offline events.

What are your secret productivity hacks?

Working and being productive aren t the same thing.

We often sit in front of the laptop for hours, but between context switching, notifications, and tiny distractions.... we barely get real work done.

What was the very first project you vibecoded with AI?

On Product Hunt, I can see many people launching their products using "vibe-coding tools" like @Lovable , @bolt.new , or@Replit

I reckon many people who created something with them are usually developers who didn't have enough time for building a side idea before, but with AI, they could make it happen.

Do you know any impactful social responsible projects?

Many of us appreciate tools that save us time or money in our businesses. But there are also projects out there with a bigger mission (improving lives, supporting the planet, and helping those in need, to name a few).

Do you know of any inspiring projects that aim to make the world a better place?

Suggestions for meditation apps, or go back to Calm or Headspace?

@mat_sherman and I have been talking about meditation and I was remembering I had tested out @Calm and @Headspace. I searched forums and see references to these in convos 5 years ago. They still seem like the main contenders, but I also just downloaded @Insight Timer App @Breathwrk and https://www.meditatehappier.com/ too.

Anyone have experience with any of these? I'm new to meditation, have tried it a few times but have yet to build a habit and need to! Any recs are greatly appreciated!

Do you teach your kids to be "entrepreneurial"? + Possible examples how to start

Before I start, let me start: without a doubt, children should be children and enjoy their childhood.

However, many makers here already have families, and the role of founders also affects how their children perceive them (they probably see their parents as role models).

What hobbies or skills do the founders in the Product Hunt community have?

Whenever I click through to the social media profiles of the makers in the product hunt community, I find that they are quite versatile and are involved in things other than just business.

What other skills do you have besides your work skills?

What's one healthy habit that vastly improved your quality of life?

A lot of us tend to neglect our health, being so entrenched in the work we're doing. That's unfortunate because without health, we can't really do much. It should be prioritized above all.

Prioritizing health starts with simple habits. Personally, exercising even just 45 minutes a day (usually in the morning) - whether that's lifting weights or shooting hoops has greatly improved my posture, energy levels, confidence, and mental clarity. It sounds cliche, but I really do believe exercising is a super-enhancer.
What is one healthy habit that has yielded improvements for you?

🔥 Roast my idea: drop your ideas and get brutally honest feedback 🔥

It's simple. Drop your next big idea and get some brutally honest but hopefully valuable feedback. The rules are:

  • Drop your idea, you don't have to go super in depth but give a sentence or two about what it is and does.

  • Get roasted, duh

  • Roast someone else's.

That way we create a cycle of feedback
