Hello fellow hunters, I'm the lead designer for kidappolis, my first end to end design project for both Android and iOS. We've launched our MVP this week and looking to learn a lot over the next couple months, hoping that we can make education more accessible to all! Please use "PRODHUNT2018" to access the app!

KidappolisGet ready - and stay ready - for school!
Kidappolis is an app aimed at helping parents and caretakers prep their child for school in their off-time by assessing developmental milestones, recommending a lesson plan, tracking progress, and reassessing skills after two weeks.

Does this have a regular camera? The mirror/progress selfie would be a fun thing to share!

I can see this working well for UPS and USPS (and probably Amazon delivery as well) packages, but I'm curious how this will work with Ontrac, who deliver to me more than half the time and seem to have wanton disregard for delivery instructions.

Great experience overall, and not sure if the new hardware addresses it somehow, but note this product (and other similar ones like Metromile) slowly trickle the battery since the OBD port wasn't meant for constant use, but for one-off, always powered, diagnostic purposes. Not a big deal if you drive your car regularly, but if it sits idle for a week at a time it might be an issue if you don't...

I think the changes make sense in terms of increasing engagement, but I feel like a lot of the attractiveness of the service switches to more consumption as opposed to actually posting secrets. Still not sure how I feel about it yet - I did like the elegance of the old design, but like all things, I'll get use to this. It's funny that all anyone can talk about is how much it looks like Yik yak,...

It's a novel approach (which Twitter has done in past redesigns), but there are also drawbacks to that type of rollout: 1. Technical debt - A service on the scale of Twitter, where code is constantly being committed across multiple teams, will have maintain two separate codepaths. 2. Operational debt - From a customer support perspective, they'll have to address questions for new and old usage...

DIsclaimer: I am now an ex-employee :) It's a logical move - web profiles are a gateway for a lot of first time visitors to Twitter, so they need to find ways to make it a "hook" to get them to understand and engage with the service faster. IMO, I've felt that Twitter's profile pages, up until now, have served more function for the owner, and this is a step to change that. Given recent moves,...
