Dnd-kit/react (the new version) is amazing. So flexible and you can do what ever you want with it. It just gets better and better as well. There was a huge jump recently from the public version to the new react version. Which has just simplified so much in our project. We love Dnd-kit and recommend it over the dnd packages out there (we tried a few in the early days).
Ha! Apparently I was/am one of the 0.01% of top users in London. I love Cursor. It makes understanding code much easier. While of course relying on purely AI can get you in trouble (learned the hard way) it speeds up your workflow by 100x. I use it daily.
We love discord. Being gamers and gamedevs in past lives, this felt like a great fit. Also being a startup it much more competitive than Slack pricing wise and has pretty much all the same features and you can build a community withit.
Inititally when I started with Next.js it was purely because i had heard a lot about it and was curious what the fuss was about. Now though its become the beating heart of Kanbanq, and its made developement super easy and the end product is just so fast now i never thought it possible. I looked into Vue and other similar platforms, but next.js just seemed easier to use and its constant updates and new features kept me with them.
Firebase is super cool. We love how easy it was to integrate and how easy it is to mix and match their various products together. Yes the documentation isnt the easiest to read, but now with Gemini built in, its really easy to get answers (and advice) to any query you might have.
Since we use firebase, using Gemini was a no brainer, as it just slots in with our database. Also its pricing is by far the most competitive we've seen.
Figma is probably the best digital design tool our there. We use it for a lot of things, from designing prototypes, brainstorming and creating presentations. We LOVE figma. Its usually the first place we go to for every idea we have.
