WTMF (What's The Matter, Friend?) is an AI companion built for the generation that's more connected than ever and lonelier than ever. It listens without judgment, remembers your story, and actually responds like it cares. No therapy speak, no robotic replies. Chat, voice call, journal, track your mood. Pick a personality that matches your vibe. Your space, your terms. Not therapy. Better than bottling it up.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Shreyak, co-founder of WTMF AI (What's The Matter, Friend?). Here's why we built this. 1 in 3 Gen Z users say they have no one to talk to. Not "no one close." No one at all. People are journaling into the void, venting to strangers online, using ChatGPT as a therapist because it was the only thing that didn't judge them. We didn't want to build another utility. We wanted to build the friend that shows up at 3 AM. WTMF isn't therapy. It's the AI bestie that remembers your last bad week, picks up where you left off, and doesn't make you feel weird for needing to talk. Today we're bringing it to Product Hunt. Would love your honest feedback, brutal is fine. Ask me anything.
@shreyak_singh cant be more proud of what we built here. We started it because we felt the gap and I cant really believe myself seeing this live and people using it.

@shreyak_singh This has not been an easy path at all. We've been working on WTMF for months now, which has involved many late nights, a lot of problem-solving, and, to be honest, many difficult times.
However, we continued with a single objective: to create something that genuinely feels human.
It would be really appreciated if you gave it a try and let us know what you thought :)

@wtmf@vikas_kv having you onboard was a bliss. cant wait to scale this with you and make sure people have a new ai bestfriend.
I can see you already have some traffic on the website. How do you make your apps visible to users? (In the meaning of marketing) :)

@busmark_w_nika Great question Nika! Honestly most of our early traffic has been through organic channels so far. We have been active on Instagram, posting relatable content around emotional health with our audience. Word of mouth from our beta users has gotten us some really good traction.
Today's Product Hunt launch is actually our first big push to go beyond our immediate circle. Would love to hear if you have any suggestions on what has worked for you!
I think this could be really helpful to a lot of people, congrats to the launch!
However, when quickly checking your website, I noticed
The link to the Android app is dead
The "Real notes from people who check in with WTMF" totally look like fake, with no links to the sources and all similar profile images, something like this completely destroys trust in a product!

@konrad_sx thank you so much for the feedback. Will let the team update the links and the website.
