Hello Product Hunters! 👋 Write Invisible removes the ability to self-correct your writing. It works for three reasons: ✔️ 1. Daily Small Wins Write Invisible helps writers write everyday through reminders and streaks. The default writing page send you a congratulatory message after one minute. The page is called "stupid small wins" because these gains stack up. 🎯 2. Flowstate / In The Zone Less editing means more concentrating. At the start the feeling can be a disorientating. (Remember we dealing with decades of socialization around how one writes). But, soon you will immersed in writing and making connections. ✍🏽 3. First drafts... that is all Write Invisible helps to make produce first drafts. That is all. But it is a super power. You not twiddling with blank page, you are re-writing and editing a first draft. FYI - we are not Grammerly. 🚧 Roadmap In 2022, Write Invisible will focus on: 📝 1. Reverse engineering writing Professional writers now that you often do not write in the way you read. Write Invisible has developed a template for an about page that asks a set of questions. It then compiles your answers into a structure. We have an example for an About Page here. We want to make writing sales pages, blog posts and even op-eds easier for non-writers 📅 2. Improving streaks and gamification There is a basic gamification engine that will be improved. The plan is to create goal orientated missions, like writing an about page, or creating a sales page. Badges and streaks that fight the inattention machine that is Internet. 👥 3. User feedback Reverse engineering writing and improving gamification are ideas our current users value. Ends 23 November 2021. About me My name is Ebrahim-Khalil Hassen. I am a writer with a fancy title of public policy analyst. I guess with this launch I am officially a maker. As a newly minted maker, let me tell you - I eat my own dog food. :) I must enjoy the dog food because I have eating it since 2017. It all started with writing my MA dissertation. I was stuck. Academic writing is difficult for me. So with a little CSS I turned a traditional form into an extreme distraction free editor. It worked and I met the deadline. Amazingly, the Web Archive still has the original copy available. Even the invisible mode works. It was originally called Eishapp - which my fellow South Africans will understand. I can’t tell if I love or hate this. 😂As someone that likes to force words into submission it would be hard to use but it would significantly speed up my first drafts.
