Discover causes you never knew existed, amazing nonprofits, and fund projects that need you. Wingtap is your one-stop shop for making a difference: vetted organizations feature projects with a $ target, share updates, and you can support them.
I think most people support nonprofits in one way or another but, like me, struggle to make donations (or any kind of contribution) as often as we think we could 😓 And for our defense, I'm pretty sure we would do it more if it was made easy, enjoyable, preferably without worrying about getting scammed...
🔍 Meanwhile, recent surveys show that over 50% of people wish there was, I quote, a “mobile app that allows two-tap giving”. It makes sense, we’re all used to two-tap apps that made our lives so easy: two taps to order food, a driver, to book your next holiday.
So, where can I do two taps to build a school, restore a coral reef, protect elephants, rescue lemurs? 🧐
Together with my brother @kitanirjv - that’s precisely what we decided to make! We dived into the world of charitable giving, and designed what the best experience could look like for users. After two years of juggling our startup and full-time jobs, while pouring our savings into it 🙈 Wingtap is born!
And what if I told you there are 10 million estimated nonprofits worldwide? Imagine how many cool ones you’ve never heard of 🤯 So that’s what Wingtap also does for you: the heavy lifting and research to bring you la crème de la crème on a silver platter, the finest nonprofits who can show you what they do and what they need your support for. As a bonus, you get you to learn interesting stuff about our planet, animals, humans.
If you also don’t think that throwing soup at paintings is the solution, but are curious to see how many like-minded people it takes to make a difference, come join us!
This is only the initial version, but I believe it’s a strong start. It’s user-friendly and provides a lot of confidence when I want to find out more about NGOs. It makes me feel like I’m making a positive impact on the world and the lives of its inhabitants.
