Review Whimsical?
Reviewers see Whimsical as a fast, intuitive visual workspace for brainstorming, flowcharts, mind maps, wireframes, and decision trees, with especially strong praise for clear team collaboration and real-time idea sharing. Several users say it is easier and quicker than alternatives they have tried, and they like that it reduces setup friction when mapping workflows. AI features also get positive mentions, though feedback there is brief. The few criticisms are narrow: some users want better export customization, and others note occasional performance or efficiency issues.

I always have whimsical open. It's my number 1 whiteboard & documentation app outside of notion. In fact, I use it so much that I ended up turning it into a "desktop app" using chrome (Click 3 dots menu > more tools > create a shortcut > Check the "open as window" box > now it can open as a separate chrome instance dedicated to whimsical).
All of our research, wire-framing, flow-mapping, analysis, site-mapping is done on Whimsical. We heavily rely on Whimsical for product flows which we use in testing. Anyways, we recently started to use Figjam as well.
If I had to choose between Whimsical and Miro, I'd pick Whimsical every time. It's super easy to use and fast. Tasks that took hours in Lucidchat only take minutes in Whimsical. Their boards work for a range of things like user maps, decision trees and sketches. It's an incredible tool to share your ideas and communicate clearly with your team.
Whimsical helped my team map out wireframes and decision trees. I personally used it for brainstorming flows during product design. It’s fast and visual, which we really liked. I just wish there were more customization options for exports. Still, a very useful creative tool.

When it comes to brainstorming and creating flowcharts, Whimsical deserves a solid 5-star rating from me. It proves to be an excellent tool for teams who want to effortlessly create flowcharts and brainstorm with sticky notes. Personally, I found the experience of brainstorming flows within Whimsical to be quite enjoyable.
However, I must admit that there is room for improvement in terms of performance. While it gets the job done, there are areas where it could work more efficiently. I hope that the Whimsical team takes note of this feedback and makes the necessary improvements in the near future.
Whimsical turns the process of creating diagrams and flowcharts from mundane to a real joy! Whether I'm brainstorming ideas or working with my team, it adds a touch of style to everything. The wireframing feature is also quite intuitive, despite its simplicity. Whimsical has become my go-to for making ideas come alive visually.
I just gave it a shot and it's really cool! I was trying to come up with a lead nurturing strategy, and it gave me a decent backbone to work with. Found it interesting that for the same prompt, I had quite different results when choosing flowchart vs mindmap.
I just love it. The name does not do it justice. Its a great, no actually, excellent tool for collaboration in real time. And Its so far the only whiteboard, collabtool I have found that actually has a working Mindmap feature.
