This project started at the end of the Summer of 2025 after witnessing firsthand tourists lining up for small restaurants in the Azores. Crowded entrances, zero visibility on wait times, and overworked staff constantly being asked "how much longer?". This mix of impatient customers and stressed employees felt like a problem worth solving.
So we set out to build a simple digital queue tool to help everyone involved: us the customers, the staff and the business owners. WaitQ pays for itself by keeping customers in your waitlist without walking away, giving them full transparency and predictability of waiting times. The waiting time feels shorter when you can see live updates in your hands. Customers can go for a walk and will be notified when it's their turn, so crowding the door of a location can be a thing of the past. The staff can focus on service instead of crowd control. Everyone's less stressed.
