Launched this week
Stop losing money on forgotten SaaS subscriptions and "ghost" licenses. Toolspend is the ultimate command center for your stack, designed to give you 100% spend visibility without the manual upkeep. While other tools just list your apps, Toolspend deep-dives into your actual usage and spend patterns. We identify underutilized seats, detect duplicate tools across teams, and alert you before every renewal. Toolspend helps you automate the toil of procurement so you can focus on building!

Love this idea — AI costs are getting out of control fast. This feels super needed right now 👏

It really does start small and then quietly snowballs.
What’s been the biggest AI cost surprise for your team so far?

@iftekharahmad Thanks! 🙌 Honestly, it started as a way to understand our own AI spend better. Now we’re opening it up and learning from how teams actually use it.
Congratulations on the launch 🎉 🎉

@shubham_pratap Thank you so much, Shubham! Really appreciate the support
The number of tools I bought to test and forgot to cancel will have me bankrupt, especially browsing here everyday. this is such a smart idea!

@sam_benhima Product Hunt is dangerous for the wallet.
That “I’ll test it for a week” → 6 months later still paying pipeline is exactly what pushed us to build this.
Out of curiosity — are most of yours seat-based tools or usage/token-based ones sneaking up on you?
Just when you think there isn't a tool to track all your spending accurately ToolSpend pops up amazing!

What we’re really focused on is AI API usage specifically — because there’s an absolute explosion of products quietly running on OpenAI, Anthropic, etc., and most teams don’t actually know how those tokens are being consumed behind the scenes.
It’s not just “what am I subscribed to?”
It’s “what is my product actually burning in API costs every day?”
That visibility gap is what we’re trying to solve.

Two months ago, when I asked ChatGPT for ideas, the first idea they gave me was this same tool and in the end, they asked me to select this idea. But I ignored this toolspending idea and today someone else executed this SaaS idea. What I learned from this is that whatever you think, research it and do it as soon as possible.
Toolspend
@istiakahmad @priyankamandal @om_pandey12 @rajeevmallik it was way harder to execute than we initially thought. AI billing + usage data is messy. But we kept iterating.
Nice angle focusing on actual usage instead of just listing tools. How are you pulling usage data — direct integrations or finance/accounting sources?

Right now we’re doing it two ways:
- Financial layer (via Plaid) – to see the real money leaving the account (subscriptions, renewals, rogue seats, personal cards getting expensed, etc.)
Direct integrations (where available) – to map actual usage (tokens, API calls, seats) so we can compare spend vs. consumption.
The interesting part is connecting those two — that’s where ghost licenses and token overages show up.
Out of curiosity, are you seeing more seat-based waste or token overages in your stack?
