Hey everyone! 👋 Jordan here, co-founder of TimeAlign, and I'm thrilled to announce our debut within the ProductHunt community! 🚀 Today, we’re launching TimeAlign - the first app to close the feedback loop on time management. TimeAlign helps you close the gap between your intentions and your actions, gain data-driven clarity, and invest your time in what matters. Our team has been hard at work building in closed beta with an awesome community of testers, and today, we're proud to present V1.0! --- ❓ What is TimeAlign? TimeAlign is an app that leverages the power of goal-driven scheduling, intuitive activity tracking, and data-driven insights to help you optimize and improve how you spend your time. 🔥 How does TimeAlign work? 1. First, set goals for your habits and routines based on pre-set time categories, or customize any way you want. How you break your time down is up to you! 2. Next, schedule your ideal goal-driven week. 3. Track and align your time with your intentions, receiving configurable “quick-track” notifications to help hold you accountable to your ideal schedule. 4. Get data-driven insights and reports. 🏆 How is TimeAlign different from competitors? There are other time-tracking, scheduling, and productivity apps, but we're different, and here's why: ❌ They focus only on workplace productivity, billable hours, and the 9-5 ❌ They fail to close the feedback loop, missing out on critical data ❌ They lack engaging gamification mechanics ✅ We focus on improving the complete 24 hours of life ✅ Our closed feedback loop compounds self-improvement & creates powerful data-driven clarity ✅ We introduce a number of gamification features including the Alignment Score (like a sleep or recovery score, but for time management) 🎯 Who is TimeAlign for? Many people struggle with time management, but so far we've found TimeAlign adds the most value for growth-minded professionals, entrepreneurs, parents, remote workers, individuals with ADHD, and freelancers who want to: - Understand where their time is going & improve how they use it - Track their progress and hold themselves accountable to personal or professional goals - Improve their overall well-being & life balance - Boost productivity with intentional time-blocking ➡️ What's coming next? - Android & Web App Versions (use TimeAlign on all of your devices!) - Task Management & To-Do Integrations (import tasks from your to-do lists as time blocks, schedule them on your calendar, and track them!) - Health Integrations (automatically track your workouts, meditation, sleep, etc!) - AI Smart Scheduling (create schedules that help you acheive your goals!) 💡 Why did we build TimeAlign? The seed idea for TimeAlign came when co-founder Matty Reed learned of his mother's terminal cancer diagnosis and was told she only had a year left to live. He reevaluated his priorities, left his job, and developed the initial prototype to help him understand his time and schedule more quality time with his mom before it was too late. Since then, TimeAlign has evolved quite a bit, but our roots remain the same. Our strongest conviction is that time is our most precious resource, yet many struggle to invest it in what matters. Instead, they waste it on things that aren’t aligned with their intentions, leading to inefficiency, stress, unfulfilled potential, and ultimately, regret. To us, TimeAlign represents much more than just a tool - it's a lifestyle. A commitment to stay focused, live intentionally, grow consistently, and flourish in a world that constantly vies for our time and attention. TimeAlign turns the concept of time management on its head - it's no longer about filling your day with tasks, but about filling your tasks with purpose. 🎉 Special offer for Product Hunt Launch: As a special launch promotion for the PH community, we're offering 50% off your first year with the code PHLAUNCH. @jordan_dominguez @petethewiz Hi Pete! That's awesome, looking forward to hear his thoughts! Android will be out shortly - we built on a tech stack that lets us use the same core codebase for both, we just wanted to focus on iOS first. If you'd like to get notified when we release on Android (and even help beta test it for us!) you can sign up for the Android waitlist here: https://airtable.com/appfLPBi84H...

@petethewiz Thank you for sharing! And 100 percent... as someone with ADHD myself, I know the challenges firsthand. That's a big part of my own "why" for building TimeAlign - I struggle with time blindness. TimeAlign has been an incredible tool to start building a much better understanding of my time and creating a healthier relationship with it. I will tell you one thing - everything takes longer than you originally thought! 😂 It's still early, but we have a lot of cool ideas for how to make it even easier for people of all neuro-types to get the most out of TimeAlign (and actually continue to use it - probably one of the biggest challenges for most people but especially for us neurodivergent individuals). We'd love to hear your (and your son's) thoughts/feedback when you have some time! Feel free to email me directly @ jordan@timealignapp.com :)

Gratz on the launch, very cool product, good job by you and your team, liked the UI/UX, has room for tons of new features, when are you expecting the android version?
Matty Reed
@m4jiz Hi Majid, thanks for the kind words! Android will be out shortly - we built on a tech stack that lets us use the same core codebase for both, we just wanted to focus on iOS first. If you'd like to get notified when we release on Android (and even help beta test it for us!) you can sign up here: https://airtable.com/appfLPBi84H...
Majid Izadi
@matty_reed great, what is your tech stack if I may know?
Matty Reed
@m4jiz the relevant piece is React Native. This is JavaScript framework for building mobile apps for iOS and Android (and can also be used for desktop apps). This basically means we can use the same code for iOS and Android.
Jordan J. Dominguez
@m4jiz Thank you! and re: "has room for tons of new features" we totally agree - we see this V1.0 as the foundational piece dialing the core feedback loop in. From here... the possibilities have incredible potential. We can layer SO much upon this deeper understanding of what we actually did vs. what we intended. Let us know some of the features you're dreaming up! We also have a public roadmap that you can submit features to or upvote ones that you like.

Interesting take on leveraging the watch as part of a habit building tool. I can see this expand and automate so much more in V2: - imagine just talk to the app about your goal (the app acts like a life coach), offer your advice and help you create the goals FOR YOU without you having to type everything out and categorize - I think the tracking part is gonna be difficult. Honestly, though, having stuff in my calendar on my watch 24/7 def would help. The current calendar app sucks - the color coding with TimeAlign is pretty cool. There could be some automation like calling, exercising, etc. tracking. Congrats on the launch though @jordan_dominguez and team! Personally, I think it will be cool to simplify how you tell the story of the features of TimeAlign, it took me a thorough reading to understand how it's different. Would be cool to see one of those what's like using TimeAlign in a day graphics to explain (as examples).
Matty Reed
@jordan_dominguez @tonyhanded Wow thank you for this incredible feedback!! You rightly point out some shortcomings V1 and some potential improvements in V2. I'll try to address all your points: - Life Coach: we actually already have a prototype that does a lot of this already! It's called LifeAlign.ai and we decided to hang onto it until we can couple it more closely with the whole scheduling experience. The idea is for this AI coach to take your vague goals then convert them into categorized time blocks scheduled on your calendar. Stay tuned for the V2.0 PH launch ;) - Tracking: we agree completely. The current calendar app on the Apple watch leaves much to be desired, and the tracking experienced can be improved a lot by simply creating a better mobile calendar experience. We are also currently building some of the tracking automations you mentioned (siri integration, auto-categorization, etc) and they should be available in the near future. - Differentiation: this is something we've been working on honing for a long time, so you're feedback is well received. We talked about filming a "day in the life" to show the feature story a bit better. I agree that the messaging can be simplified more and focus on the uniqueness of the product. We will have this messaging (and a nice video) dialed-in by the next launch!
Jordan J. Dominguez
@tonyhanded Haha oh man, your first bullet point... check this out: https://lifealign.ai/ The "prod" version of it is just a custom GPT right now, but we have an alpha version of the feature connected to TimeAlign (thanks to our team wizard, @howljs). SO yes, we've thought about this. To us they are symbiotic, the "life coach"/LLM side helps you break your fuzzy goals and ideas into actionable plans, and then TimeAlign enables you to hold yourself accountable and actualize them.
Jordan J. Dominguez
@tonyhanded and re: your point about the story - I would love your feedback on that. To you, what is the product story you now understand? And what was missing from the initial perception? I do agree that a "day in the life" graphic is a good idea, and potentially a more narrative-focused video with someone using it to go about optimizing their life. But I am also curious if there is something copy or messaging-wise that could be honed to get the point across more effectively.
Tony Han
@jordan_dominguez - for me, I guess I'm a visual learner, so I tend to focus on the graphics and it's much easier to understand how TimeAlign is different that way! I can take a more detailed look tmr and let you know if there are specific copies that I can give feedback on. In general, I just didn't feel like it's differentiated enough.
Tony Han
@jordan_dominguez - I think in general, it just doesn't differentiate what the product does honestly. At first glance, I didn't get what makes the product different.

Race for productivity is never ending, so it’s always great to see new products here. Your onboarding is nice, moving intentions to actions in a slider is even cool! And special kudos to your blog team, I’m digging there as well.
Jordan J. Dominguez
@klauss_zee Thank you! We worked incredibly hard on the launch, so it's great to hear. And I think @matty_reed gets most of the credit for the blogs! Android will be out shortly - we built on a tech stack that lets us use the same core codebase for both, we just wanted to focus on iOS first. If you'd like to get notified when we release on Android (and even help beta test it for us!) you can sign up here: you can sign up for the Android waitlist here.
Matty Reed
@klauss_zee You can thank our engineer @howljs for that beautiful interaction! As for the blog team... it's just me with some help from my cofounder @jordan_dominguez! Any blog stick out as a favorite?
Nick Zemlyanskiy
@jordan_dominguez Great! I'm an Apple guy, so I can't help you with Android :( Anyway, wish you success with your product! @matty_reed Amazing job with the blog! My top posts are about principles of high agency, categorizing in life domains and of course your 2020 time-tracking experiment (my support for you in the situation with your mom by the way). Also I found Don't Die philosophy quite interesting, will dig deeper there. Keep up the great job guys! 🔥
Jordan J. Dominguez
@matty_reed @klauss_zee Whoops, I must have misread! Either way, even better :)
Terrence Kelleman
oh I need this
Matty Reed
@terrence_kelleman you and me both!
Jordan J. Dominguez
@terrence_kelleman You have no idea how many times we said this as we were building it 😂 We needed TimeAlign to help us build TimeAlign! As we improve the product it gets easier and easier...
Anupreet Singh Lamba
Congratulations team, love the story behind the product. Definitely going to try it today itself.
Guel Redoble
@anupreet_singh1 Thank you! Glad that you loved it! What feature are you most excited on trying out?
Anupreet Singh Lamba
@guel_redoble Gamification of self improvement!!
Jordan J. Dominguez
@anupreet_singh1 Amazing! Happy to hear it. Definitely circle back and let us know your thoughts :)
Germán Merlo
Awesome job Jordan! Time management is something I'm dealing with and I'm really happy to see you helping on this. Hope every maker can see the same and wish you all the best here! Cheers!
Jordan J. Dominguez
@german_merlo1 Thanks for the support! Definitely agree on the struggles of time management. As an ADHD engineer-turned-entrepreneur, I feel the challenges more than most! Are there any specific struggles you have with time management? Ones that you think TimeAlign could help with or not. I am curious to hear more about your process and pain points.
