Sometimes you want to do more than send a message, but arranging a delivery is too much or the timing is wrong. Spot lets you send a friend, coworker, or partner a specific café item through iMessage without making them use it right away. They save it to Apple Wallet and redeem it in-store whenever they want. @hooni_tri Congrats on the launch, Tristan! 👏 My immediate use case for this would be the "I'm running 10 minutes late" coffee.
If I'm meeting with someone at a café and getting stuck in traffic, sending a quick text feels a bit weak, but sending them a pre-paid coffee right inside iMessage while they wait is the ultimate apology. It turns an annoying moment into a nice gesture.
Definitely can see this becoming a go-to for micro-gestures. Good luck with the SF rollout!
