Hey Product Hunt π
I'm Chris, the solo founder behind SparkDry (WRJ Ventures). This one started with a dumb, recurring frustration: I'd finally wash my car, then it'd rain the next morning β or a pollen wave would coat it by lunch. I wanted something that just told me when to wash.
So SparkDry pulls your local weather, pollen, and dust forecast and turns it into a single live Wash Score (0β100) β basically a plain WASH or WAIT, plus a 7-day outlook so you can plan the good window. There's also a nearby car-wash finder.
It's free on iOS and Android. Pro ($1.99/mo or $9.99/yr) adds the full 7-day forecast, a custom alert threshold, hourly pollen/dust, and removes ads.
I also write practical car-care guides on the site (getting tree sap or bird droppings off paint, washing in winter road-salt, avoiding water spots, etc.) β sparkdryapp.com/guides if that's useful.
Would genuinely love feedback β on the Wash Score logic, what'd make you reach for it weekly, or anything that feels off. Thx

This is not only a fun idea but really useful. On weekends you often see people streaming into car wash stations no matter what the upcoming weather is. I often thought, that might be a waste of time and money especially in spring when you have lots of pollen floating around. I remember the day I had to return a rental car and right after having it washed it looked almost dirtier than before because I didnβt consider the pollen activity. Congrats!
@reneandritschΒ Thank you. It was a personal problem I wanted to solve, but also one that was not completely unique to me. I hope others may also find the app useful.
