Not great first impression: Your connection is not private , SSL warning. And right after that I get an ABC website? :O only happening to me? i.imgur.com/XK8CW6J.jpg
@dshan@natelegler@deambulando interesting. Currently we can't reproduce the error but I'll continue to look into this. We take security very serious. I've checked our DNS settings and SSL certificates. Everything seems to be fine from our end. I'll keep you posted if I find anything or can reproduce the problem.
Could you check the page in a new private window or other browser? Thank you.
UPDATE: The issue has been identified (DNS settings) and has been resolved. Please let me know if you still have trouble accessing the site. Thanks!
@dshan@natelegler@deambulando ok. We found the issue - it has to do with our domain provider - I'm looking into this and we'll try to resolve it as fast as possible. Thank you for pointing this out.
UPDATE: We are using Cloudflare for DNS and this seems to be part of a greater issue (e.g. we are not the only ones serving the wrong page under our URL). CloudFlare is investigating the issue - I'll keep you up to date.
UPDATE (2): The issue has been resolved. It was a problem on the DNS level - 1/3 of all requests resolved to another website (this was due to us using Heroku + Cloudflare with a faulty setup). Now everything should work as expected. Sorry for the troubles! Enjoy SlimFAQ!

@dynjo this looks great! What are your plans down the road? What do are your most important upcoming features?
@mikkel_ulstrup I hope you don't mind if I answer this one (I'm an engineer on the project):
Most important upcoming feature will be subdomain support (e.g. https://faq.[your-company].com).
We also plan to offer a sidebar integration that works without Intercom, and we'll release a step-by-step guide (and corresponding wrapper) to integrate your FAQ into your mobile app (for iOS and Android).
Internationalization and custom CSS/themes are also in our pipeline.
We take this serious and want to be your choice for creating an FAQ! Please let us know if we missed anything :-)

@consti not minding it at all! 😊
Great! That sounds amazing! Right now I use Uservoice, because I love that I have the FAQ and the support section in one place. So if you are going that way, I'm all in' 😄
@mikkel_ulstrup@dynjo we've released lots of features since we've been on Product Hunt: custom domain support, internationalization and more ways to integrate your FAQ. 🚀 check it out!
Am I the only one who thinks this "script" is highly overpriced? I am looking on few hours of coding, and it is 85USD a year? How do you justify that price? PHP scripts and wordpress plugins go for 20USD/lifetime and they even look better than this. Mailbird costs 6USD year or 20USD/lifetime and it is full fledged multi-platform application.
A big thank you to the awesome team at Product Hunt and to @ozgrozer for hunting us! ❤️
I hope SlimFAQ is helpful to some of you guys, we built it initially to solve a problem for us on our other products (e.g. http://slimwiki.com) but it seemed like a pain point that others were having too.
By integrating with Intercom we think it makes a near perfect user support solution.
Also thanks for all feedback good or bad, we are listening to everything and planning a roadmap of features accordingly.

@dynjo@ozgrozer Have you considered generating FAQs from incoming on Intercom or even Outlook?
This would require some rather significant upgrades to be worth $85 (or even worth using anything other than custom). A developer can build this identical product in a day or two and many CMSs handle most of these features.
Not to say it's a completely terrible idea, it just means you'll need some very powerful FAQ specific features that are difficult to replicate to make it worth using SlimFAQ.
@theericanderson we are developers and also realize that for any of us to build this would be fairly trivial. We are not the target audience. The intended audience are non-technical people (who are perhaps already using Intercom) and who want to be able to manage their FAQ without having to re-release their website or go through all the pain and expense of setting up a WordPress (or other) CMS. We are also adding custom domain support and some other features shortly and have a roadmap of goodies.
@dynjo I completely understand the target audience. However, non-technical people have a ton of options here. If they have a need for an FAQ, they very likely have some other system managing their website, store, etc. Something like WordPress, Shopify, Wix, SquareSpace, (the list goes on forever). All of these systems can easily create a new page called "FAQ" and they can add content to that page without requiring any technical expertise at all.
Again, I'm not saying this product doesn't have some potential merit. But I feel this product needs to provide substantial value over and above what those other systems can do for FAQ. With enough hard work, I'm sure your team can get there. :)

Looks great. That said I've always felt that FAQs overall is a poor user experience, as the product fails to provide important information to help the user become successful.
