Automatically create step-by-step tutorials simply by recording your screen. Our extension figures out what you're doing, takes screenshots and turns it all into a simple step-by-step guide. Export as PDF/DOC, or embed them into a knowledge base.
Hey All š!
I'm Emil ā Founder of Helpjuice.com & Wizardshot.com. We started building Wizardshot back in January after a customer of ours tried Scribehow and was frustrated by the lack of knowledge base integration (and pricing).
Wizardshot is a 100% free chrome extension that builds step-by-step tutorials simply by you sharing your screen. You can blur info, control the visibility (public vs. internal) of tutorials, and even embed your tutorials into a knowledge base (via Helpjuice).
Would love to hear your feedback on the tool!
This app is buggy as hell. It doesn't save zooms and custom positions. I can't export to HTML or PDF and DOC export is also not to recommend. Link sharing also does not work properly, because it doesn't save zoom positions and then shows nothing in the images!
I looked at the console logs and it clearly shows how this app is not maintained.
I recently discovered this app and decided to give it a try. It looks incredibly promising and has the potential to save me a significant amount of time. As someone who sometimes finds it easier to create a web app than to write user documentation, Iām excited about its capabilities.
It's an excellent tool, especially when integrated with the Helpjuice knowledge base. It would be great to see a desktop version that records other applications and pop-up windows in browsers that are not always captured.
