We just launched the Linux version of SKI! You can grab it now at heyski.io.
We built this because a bunch of you asked for it, and we're excited to finally get it into your hands. It's still early days for this release, so expect some rough edges.
We'd love your feedback - good, bad, or ugly. Drop it in our Discord https://discord.gg/5ZM9yrkKKQ or right here in the comments. Every bit helps us make SKI better.
We also have a blog and tutorial section on our site to help you make the best use of SKI!
Thanks for checking it out, and happy skiing!

@rahul_saji007 Thank you for checking our product.
Yes, the downloader will fetch the transcription model files (which you can choose), when on-boarding the project. Once it is downloaded, there is no requirement for internet for the application to work. Only the initial downloads need internet connectivity.

@rahul_saji007 Thanks Rahul

@athul_cv Thank you for checking out SKI. It needs internet for initial download of models. Once the models are downloaded, it doesn't need any internet connection to function.
Please try it out and let us know your feedback!

@thomas_digaetano The transcription usually works well with most accents. But whenever they go wrong, LLMs are intelligent enough to correct them, just like they correct the spelling mistakes we have when we type.

Small feedback upfront, when I simple click on "Download for Mac" on the website, the download on my device doesn`t start. Workaround found, if I do right click and open in a new tab, then it start the download.

@anand_balakrishnan5 sure thing. The first 15 seconds dwell team of a completely new user not knowing your brand, product or anything is the most crucial one to convert, hence everything need to work saemless. Test the first 15 seconds always most critically from a new user perspective and you will improve in conversion, the rest is pure customer lifecycle management

The meeting use case is interesting. Bringing an agent into the conversation instead of just using it behind the scenes is a cool idea. Excited to see where this goes.
SKI
@henry_habib Thank you for taking a look into it. The agent can be just a notetaker inside meeting, or it can bring in the intelligence of the project it is connected to, into the meeting. It can listen, talk, chat, screen share and share files via temporary links (available only during the call duration) to the participants using a secure tunnel.
SKI
@henry_habib You’re absolutely right! That’s exactly what we’re trying to enable—your coding sessions can now collaborate with your team, not just write code.
Here’s a quick video of sending your agents to meetings:
