About time! I was using perplexity constantly. Honestly, props goes to Perplexity for trying. They were taking a page out of big tech's approach which is asking for forgiveness later. Not always a great way to make friends, but it does advance their tech/offerings. I hope they compensate content creators soon. But yeah, about damn time that the money I pay to OpenAi does something useful in search. I don't think I'll leave Google though, I find myself constantly going back.

From the beginning of the GPT 3.5 Era, I was looking forward to use the SearchGPT like product produced by OpenAI. Today, it comes and I can't wait to use this prototype! Hope to get access to this product soon! Besides I am confused that when will the ChatGPT Desktop Intel version release? Now I can use it on my MacBook, but without the Intel version, I cannot use the desktop on my iMac, the experience annoys me for quite a long time!

As someone who's tired of being shilled results that aren't exactly to what you're looking for from SEO experts, this looks like a good alternative. I would like to know one thing though, you mentioned how perplexity is being accused of being a content thief, how would you ensure that the results generated will be accurate and cited by trusted sources? who are these trusted sources and what does it take to make a source trusted? this might be a newbie question 😅

Sam has been inspirational for all entrepreneurs around the globe for quite a long time and searchgpt will eventually change the search experience for all. But at the same time, my heart goes out to Google for all their help and giving to creators' economy by open-sourcing foundational works including Transformers which is the base of LLMs.
