We built Savor for the small intentions that are too meaningful to lose but too half-formed for a task list: the flyer on the fridge, the person you meant to call, the place someone recommended, or the bill you photographed so you wouldn t forget.
Before we launch on Product Hunt, I d love to learn from you: what kind of thought tends to slip through your system? Where does it live now, and what usually makes it resurface too late?
Reply with a real example, minus anything private. I ll share what we hear and how it shapes Savor.
Such a simple idea, but it makes sense. not everything needs a deadline.
@alexkhlystova Right~!? I'm right there with you.
We tried to make the UX as simple as possible. But for a feature like TakeAction, admittedly it's a bit less-simple - would love to hear your thoughts on that UX.
I like that it’s for all the little things you think, 'I should remember that' and then immediately forget. Nice Launch!@lhenleycohn @aaditya_menon @juri_henley_cohn
@lhenleycohn @juri_henley_cohn @harshyadav yes! Personally, I used to juggle between apple notes and messaging myself on WhatsApp. I’ve moved almost completely to SAVOR now
@aaditya_menon @juri_henley_cohn @harshyadav I used to use my camera roll or what'sapp- the first feature we created was the photo feature - trying to find my last thought, or even remember to return to the gallery was awful - I used to kick myself when I forgot to look - no more of that! :)
If there is anything else that you would find helpful, let us know!
Looks promising!
@snxzy Thanks for saying that and checking us out. If you take it for a spin, and we hope you do, we'd love to hear your thoughts. Cheers.
Handing off a single step instead of the whole card is a nice touch, since shared tasks tend to get vague. Once someone accepts a card, do they get its reminders right away?
@neerajnathany Hey Neeraj! That's a great question. Yes it does! For a second, we thought you may have asked about something we missed, but we just checked it and yes, once you hand off a card to someone (or a subcard), then any reminders associated with it travel with it as well.
@juri_henley_cohn thanks Juri, good to know the reminder stays with the card after a handoff. what happens to it if the person you handed it to passes it along again?
@neerajnathany Chiming in - Incredibly helpful for managing my ADHD son! lol. I tell him, responding "Ok" on chat doesn't mean it's DONE. When the task/reminder is completed, he can swipe it. :P
@lhenleycohn swiping a card away once it is truly done is a neat way to tell it apart from a quick "ok" 😄 does your son get a reminder again if he never swipes it?
@neerajnathany Since we're talking about my son, and the reminder we are talking about would be sitting in now ('cause he's a heavy procrastinator), the daily brief each morning would catch that. But as of now, we don't have recurring reminder on a single card/item - we will add that as a fast follow. Users can set a "due date" and a "reminder" and neither is a recurring nudge.
If I shared a card with him, I would see that it isn't done, and he'd get a reminder in form of the private chat feature on each card - which nudges the user.
@lhenleycohn a nudge through the private chat on the card is a nice touch. does the person you shared it with get a push notification when that nudge lands?
