We built Savor for the small intentions that are too meaningful to lose but too half-formed for a task list: the flyer on the fridge, the person you meant to call, the place someone recommended, or the bill you photographed so you wouldn t forget.
Before we launch on Product Hunt, I d love to learn from you: what kind of thought tends to slip through your system? Where does it live now, and what usually makes it resurface too late?
Reply with a real example, minus anything private. I ll share what we hear and how it shapes Savor.
I like the concept of Savor, it allows people to set an intention or resolution without it immediately turning into just another task. I’m curious, if someone doesn’t specify a particular date. how do you determine when that reminder should resurface?
@1mirul Thanks, Amirul! If you don’t set a date or reminder, Savor doesn’t choose when to nudge you. The intention can stay in Later until you’re ready.
I think of it like knitting a blanket: you can put it down and come back later. It doesn’t unravel because you took a break. We want to give people that same breathing room.
I have a question for any of you out there exploring our app for the first time today, one that those of us here at SAVOR have been curious about. What do you think of our onboarding experience?
We're aware that if it's too long people will skip it but then they may not know about some of SAVOR's more powerful features under the hood.
But if we make the onboarding shorter and quicker, then many of those more powerful features are still undiscovered.
We're super curious to hear the community's thoughts and opinions.
This looks really interesting. The ease and 'just pop this in for later' is crucial in this space
@a_s71 Hi Alicia, We definitely had many discussions about the separate panels. Glad you like where we landed. And super happy to have created an app that helps people. That's always been our goal.
@a_s71 Another thing - what sits in Later on my screen is, "Update living will" - I don't have a place for that, and it's not an emergency, but when I see it in later, I try and get to it a little at a time.
Such a simple idea, but it makes sense. not everything needs a deadline.
@alexkhlystova Right~!? I'm right there with you.
We tried to make the UX as simple as possible. But for a feature like TakeAction, admittedly it's a bit less-simple - would love to hear your thoughts on that UX.
“the thoughts that come back at midnight” — ok this is way too relatable
@anastasiia_degtiarenko LOL - Thanks. I like to keep my joke notes when something should arise.
I like that it’s for all the little things you think, 'I should remember that' and then immediately forget. Nice Launch!@lhenleycohn @aaditya_menon @juri_henley_cohn
@lhenleycohn @juri_henley_cohn @harshyadav yes! Personally, I used to juggle between apple notes and messaging myself on WhatsApp. I’ve moved almost completely to SAVOR now
@aaditya_menon @juri_henley_cohn @harshyadav I used to use my camera roll or what'sapp- the first feature we created was the photo feature - trying to find my last thought, or even remember to return to the gallery was awful - I used to kick myself when I forgot to look - no more of that! :)
If there is anything else that you would find helpful, let us know!
A big thank-you to everyone who supported Savor’s launch today! Your thoughtful questions, feedback, and encouragement have meant so much to us. We’ll follow up on the questions still awaiting answers. Thank you for being part of our day! ❤️
