Riffable is a collaborative storytelling platform where stories grow one short piece at a time, called Riff. Writers can start a story, continue someone else’s, create alternate paths that branch the narrative. The community helps shape the best versions by voting. Stories can later become books with covers, illustrations, audio, and EPUB export. AI is optional; the core is human collaboration. There's a social aspect to it, author bio, achievements, followers, chats and so on.
Love the branching paths idea, that feels like the secret sauce here. One thing that would help me as a reader is a "continue from this exact point" option on the timeline so I can jump back to where a specific riff left off without scrolling through dozens of branches. Would make late-night binge reading way less painful.

On Riffable, you create the place, the rules, the atmosphere, and who lives there. AI helps illustrate the settings in your own style. Then, any story — yours or someone else’s — can happen inside that world. A good world doesn’t tell just one story. It opens the door to many. What world would you create first?
