Glad you're refreshing something like this. I like reading tools because through university this kept me on top of every single thing I had to read for each class. I was like a superhero. Does your AI change the text at all or add a personal touch? I did find value in something that stuck to the original text of the article. Considering this use case, maybe you can add features that explain unknown concepts or a summary type tool that breaks it down and pulls all the concepts of an article together for students in social sciences! Example: summaries would bring all the mentioned concepts together and relate them to the new concept in the article so the student can learn faster!

@jonwesselink Hi Jon, I'm so glad you see the value in this being refreshed - that's the root of the project! I was frustrated I had to deal with this in this era of mind-blowing AI tech: https://x.com/ReadThisAi/status/... For now, GPT-4, which I used during the page extraction, instructs you not to modify the text but to omit the parts you'd naturally not read aloud. It was a surprisingly difficult task to do before this level of intelligence in LLMs, but GPT-4 handled it with brio. And yes, I have a few very interesting use-cases I want to bring to the platform for my next product hunt launch. It's on the road map. Summarize is part of it. But more importantly, other even more useful "workflows" but 🤫! 😉😉
