I'm James — I built QuickGraft because my mates in the trades were spending their evenings copying line items into Word documents and chasing unpaid invoices by text message.
The idea is simple: describe the job the way you'd explain it to someone down the pub, and let the AI figure out the professional quote. CIS deductions, VAT, materials markup — all handled automatically.
A few things I'm particularly proud of:
— The AI prompt is engineered so all maths happens server-side in TypeScript, not in the model. Quotes are accurate every time.
— The cash flow calendar shows every invoice plotted by due date. Red for overdue, green for paid. Tradespeople can see what's coming in week by week.
— The accountant export defaults to the UK financial year (April 6) because that's the one that actually matters here.
I built this in 10 days of evenings using Claude Code as the implementation engine. Happy to talk about the build if anyone's curious.
