Hey PH fam 👋
Super excited to introduce purposewrite to the community today - a radically different and better copy tool for anyone frustrated by the flood of generic AI content out there!
Why does so much AI content feel like slop? Simple:
→ Zero strategic thinking behind the writing
→ Tools that don't ask curiosity-driven questions
→ Obsession with speed over substance - publishing quickly even if it sounds generic
purposewrite flips the script completely! Its Guides (mini-apps inside the platform) are a HUGE differentiator, offering interesting questions that help you understand your true motivation behind each content piece and providing necessary guardrails for the LLMs.
I've been testing this tool for weeks, and it's completely transformed how I approach content creation. Instead of just churning out text, purposewrite actually helps you think strategically about what you're writing. 🧠✨
Here's what purposewrite delivers (that’s quite unique):
→ Strategic Guidance: Content that CONVERTS because it actually resonates with real humans
→ Brand Voice Protection: Never sound like everyone else again (unless being forgettable is your strategy)
→ Custom Templates: Cut your production time in HALF while DOUBLING your quality (do the math on that ROI)
→ AI-Driven Insights: Know exactly WHY your best content works, then replicate it (genius, right?)
As someone who creates content regularly, I love how purposewrite focuses on purpose over production. It's not just about writing; it's about writing with purpose!
The founder @petter_magnusson built this out of genuine frustration with the current state of AI writing tools. They wanted something that enhances your creative process while keeping your authentic voice intact - and they've absolutely delivered! 💯

@thisiskp_ thanks KP, you nailed it, that frustration....phew! And its just getting worse the more people are using these content automation tools. I think its time to up the content game NOW if you dont want to drown in the generic ocean of AI content.
@thisiskp_ @petter_magnusson Hi Peter, I tried to sign up but your password system rejected it because it did not contain one special character that was not Apple’s Password manager hyphen ("-"). So, I added a recommended exclamation mark (!), and it still rejected it even though it met all the other requirements.
I am gone and will not come back.
@thisiskp_ @ubercool sorry to hear that, yes we had some passord problems, only a very limited list of special characters are allowed right now. We will fix it. Sorry to see you leave!

Congrats on the launch, Petter @petter_magnusson ! 🚀 purposewrite is exactly what the AI content space needs—a tool that forces us to think, not just copy-paste. Love how it tackles brand voice alignment and strategic guidance (those templates are gold ✨)!
As a product lead, I’d kill for a ‘team collaboration’ feature to align my remote writers. Any plans for that? Let’s chat!
@rocsheh Thank you so much! Really glad you see the value in what we’re building with purposewrite. Team collaboration is on the roadmap for sure. If you’re up for a chat, feel free to grab a time here:

Having watched the demo video, I'm impressed with the list of style elements purposewrite can suggest. Definitely better than generic writing tools. If it's not an excuse to ask, are these style elements ready-made in the system or are they suggested case by case?
@hyuntak_lee Great question. The system suggests them based on context, so they’re not static. It learns your tone and purpose, then offers what fits best.
@petter_magnusson Thanks for the explanation! I'm more impressed now that it can tailor the writing that much detailed. I genuinely respect your product!
@hyuntak_lee That really means a lot. Grateful for your support and your thoughtful feedback throughout.
OMG such a needed tool! I'm so sick of slop everywhere. What can we expect in terms of AI insights? I'd love to see something like a dashboard that gives data points / scores on why content pieces (and even the overall content library?) resonate with various demos.
@leah_madden yes, it has become pretty horrible with all the AI generic content on plattforms like LinkedIn! Interesting dashboard ideas, if you want hook up on LinkedIn to keep chatting!

@petter_magnusson @thisiskp_ Hi, First, Congratulations on the launch! It impressed me.
Can you share more details on how Guide features are implemented? Do LLMs control it?
@thisiskp_ @won_park Hi Won! Its actually the other way around, the Guides are done in a scripting language and control the LLMs, and cooperate with them. Try to log in and look in the help section, you will find some example scripts.
Here is a super simple example:
##Animal text guide
##Will write a text about an animal in your language
#Show: "Hi! I will write a text about an animal for you!"
#Question: language
"What language do you want me to write in?"
#Question: animal
"What animal should I write about (english name)?"
##chatgpt is better at research
#chatGPT: research
"Give me the top 3 unusual facts about the animal [animal]"
#Show: "I found some unusual facts about [animal]:
[research]"
##Claude is better at writing
#Claude: the_text
"Writing an engaging article about the animal [animal].
Make sure to include these facts: [research]
The text should be written in the language: [language]"
#Show: "Here is a text about [animal]:
[the_text]"

@thisiskp_ @petter_magnusson Thanks for sharing
@thisiskp_ @won_park you will find more advanced Guide examples in the Help section of purposewrite.
Now this is looking seriously good - Love to see someone breaking through the content wall (although what happens if everyone starts using this & quality improves, then quality gets so good that this becomes generic, could incite a content arms race?!)
Best of luck w/ the launch Petter, I love everything about it from the logo & name to the marketing images!!
@cranqnow haha, thanks Sam, glad you like our style, we named it "corporate punk" and we are transforming our writing in that direction too....:-) I think you are right and not, gen AI tools has already started the arms race, now a well-written piece of content or a cool image is not good enough anymore, it needs strategy and purpose etc!
purposewrite is still small enough to be a "secret weapon" but yes, if it gets really huge I guess we have a new race on our hands....:-) However, at least we dont have to read generic crap on linkedin anymore then!
