Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I run a one-person software studio in India, and like most freelancers, my client work ran on handshakes: scope agreed over WhatsApp, invoices tracked in my head, and payments that routinely went 40+ days late — with nothing signed to point at when they did.
Payday is the system I built to fix my own business. The loop:
📥 Paste a client's email or DM → AI extracts client, rate, deliverables, deadline into a structured deal
📝 It drafts a proper services agreement (scope, payment schedule, IP handover) → both sides e-sign in the browser
💸 Invoice any % as advance, the rest on delivery
🔔 Payment overdue? One tap drafts a polite reminder that escalates in firmness with each send, knows about part-payments, and references the signed contract
My favorite part: every deal gets a magic tracking link — clients see progress, chat, and sign with no account needed. It completely killed the "any update?" messages.
A few honest notes: it's India-first (₹ formats, Indian-law contract defaults, WhatsApp-centric workflows), e-signing is click-to-sign with an audit trail, and there are rough edges — I built it under deadline pressure. But it genuinely runs my studio's client work today.
That deadline: Payday is competing in the Raj Shamani × Emergent Builder Challenge, where the top 25 is decided by upvotes — and voting closes in 2 days. If this product resonates with you, a 30-second vote there would mean the world to a solo builder: https://app.emergent.sh/showcase...
There's a demo mode with a full sample workspace — sign up takes 10 seconds and you can explore everything without entering anything real.
I'd love your feedback — especially from freelancers and studios: how do you handle clients who go quiet when the invoice lands? That tone of "firm but not rude" was the hardest thing to get right. 🙏

How does the AI handle payment reminders without coming across as robotic or aggressive to clients, and can you customize the tone and frequency for each client?

Does the AI handle the awkward back-and-forth on late payments automatically, or do I still need to step in once it flags someone who is behind?

contracts, invoicing, and time tracking all in one tab finally, and the AI nudges for late payments feel surprisingly on point without sounding robotic.

love that you squeezed AI payment reminders in without it feeling like another bloated feature. the contract-to-invoice flow looks tight.
